Stewart went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk in Thursday's 8-1 loss to the Marlins.

Stewart's fourth home run of the season came in the fifth inning off Max Meyer and was the only offense for Cincinnati on Thursday. Stewart continues to be one of the hottest hitters in baseball with a .364/.473/.727 slash line, including the four homers, nine RBI, eight runs scored, three stolen bases and a 10:8 BB:K across 55 plate appearances.

Lowder (1-1) took the loss Thursday against the Marlins, allowing five runs (four earned) on eight hits and two walks with two strikeouts across 5.1 innings.

Lowder hasn't been able to miss many bats in the early going this season with a 6.1 K/9 -- which is only marginally worse than his 6.5 mark from the 2025 regular season -- and he generated just seven whiffs on 95 pitches against Miami. Lowder served up four extra-base knocks, including a pair of doubles to Owen Caissie. An RBI single by Javier Sanoja was the knockout blow in the sixth inning, as Lowder left trailing 5-1. The right-hander has a 3.31 ERA and 11:6 K:BB across 16.1 innings. He's slated to face the Giants at home Wednesday.

Sanoja went 3-for-4 with two RBI in Thursday's 8-1 win over the Reds.

With Jakob Marsee getting the start at designated hitter, Sanoja was in center field Thursday and hit eighth against right-handed starter Rhett Lowder. Sanoja singled in each of his first three at-bats and drove home runs in the fourth and sixth innings. Sanoja is now slashing .406/.424/.500 with three doubles, seven RBI, one run scored, one stolen base and a 1:4 BB:K across 33 trips to the plate this season, but his upside is capped given that he's started in just two of seven games against right-handed pitchers.

Caissie went 3-for-4 with two doubles, three RBI and two runs scored in Thursday's 8-1 win over the Reds.

Caissie continues to swing a hot bat for Miami. After striking out in his first at-bat Thursday, Caissie doubled home a pair of runs in the fourth, doubled and scored in the sixth and singled home another run in the seventh. Thursday marked Caissie's eighth start in 13 games, as he hasn't started against a lefty since Opening Day. He's now slashing .324/.385/.618 with four doubles, two home runs, 12 RBI, six runs scored, one stolen base and a 3:13 BB:K across 39 trips to the plate.

Ramirez went 2-for-5 with two RBI and a run scored in Thursday's 8-1 win over the Reds.

Ramirez singled and scored in the seventh inning before driving in a pair with another single in the eighth to make it an 8-1 ballgame. The 24-year-old backstop is still looking for his first home run of the season and has yet to display much extra-base pop through 12 games, slashing .250/.365/.364 with three doubles, a triple, four RBI, seven runs scored, one stolen base and a 7:11 BB:K across his 52 plate appearances.

Meyer (1-0) earned the win Thursday against the Reds, allowing one run on four hits and three walks with four strikeouts across five innings.

Meyer threw a heavy dose of sliders against Cincinnati and generated a 25 percent swinging strike rate with the pitch Thursday. Meyer's only mistake was a two-out solo home run allowed to Sal Stewart in the fifth inning. Meyer left the game with a 4-1 lead, and the Miami bullpen was able to hold on to preserve the right-hander's first win of the season. His command hasn't been great with multiple walks issued in each start, and he'll carry a 3.68 ERA 15:8 K:BB across 14.2 innings into his next outing versus Atlanta.

Karros isn't in the lineup Thursday versus the Padres.

Karros got his first lineup omission of the season Sunday, but he started in all three games in the series versus Houston afterwards. The third baseman went 2-for-7 with four walks and an RBI in the three-game set that concluded Wednesday. With the 23-year-old on the bench again Thursday, Willi Castro shifts to the hot corner and Edouard Julien is starting at second base.

Lucchesi signed a minor-league contract with the Angels on Thursday, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

Lucchesi elected free agency after clearing waivers Tuesday, but he'll end up back in the Angels organization after testing his free-agent value. The 32-year-old gave up two earned runs over 2.1 innings during his first three appearances with the Halos but has the potential to turn things around after finishing the 2025 campaign with a 3.76 ERA and 1.23 WHIP in San Francisco.

Andujar isn't in the lineup for Thursday's game against Colorado.

Andujar has gone 7-for-17 during the five games he's played since the start of April, but the Padres will keep him on the bench to begin Thursday's contest. Nick Castellanos will start as the designated hitter and bat seventh in the series opener.

Laureano isn't in the lineup for Thursday's game against the Rockies.

Laureano will get a chance to rest during Thursday's series opener after going 2-for-5 with a run scored and two steals during Wednesday's win over Pittsburgh. Gavin Sheets will take over in left field while Laureano sits, opening up first base for Ty France.
