Lucchesi signed a minor-league contract with the Angels on Thursday, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

Lucchesi elected free agency after clearing waivers Tuesday, but he'll end up back in the Angels organization after testing his free-agent value. The 32-year-old gave up two earned runs over 2.1 innings during his first three appearances with the Halos but has the potential to turn things around after finishing the 2025 campaign with a 3.76 ERA and 1.23 WHIP in San Francisco.

Andujar isn't in the lineup for Thursday's game against Colorado.

Andujar has gone 7-for-17 during the five games he's played since the start of April, but the Padres will keep him on the bench to begin Thursday's contest. Nick Castellanos will start as the designated hitter and bat seventh in the series opener.

Laureano isn't in the lineup for Thursday's game against the Rockies.

Laureano will get a chance to rest during Thursday's series opener after going 2-for-5 with a run scored and two steals during Wednesday's win over Pittsburgh. Gavin Sheets will take over in left field while Laureano sits, opening up first base for Ty France.

Estevez (foot) will throw a bullpen session Thursday, Anne Rogers of MLB.com reports.

Estevez was placed on the 15-day injured list more than a week ago with a left foot contusion, and this appears to be the first time he's thrown off a mound since the injury. The Royals plan to eventually send Estevez out on a rehab assignment, not only to make sure he's healthy but to also give him time in a less-pressurized setting to hopefully rediscover his velocity, which has been down since reporting for spring training. Lucas Erceg has been filling in as the Royals' closer and it's possible he won't relinquish the role when Estevez returns.

The White Sox recalled Eisert from Triple-A Charlotte on Thursday.

Eisert will return to a middle-relief role in Chicago's bullpen after allowing one run in 3.2 innings over his first four appearances at Triple-A. Duncan Davitt will make the trip to the majors alongside Eisert, and the two pitchers will replace Tyler Schweitzer and Chris Murphy (elbow) on the big-league staff.

Kolek (oblique) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Omaha on Sunday, Anne Rogers of MLB.com reports.

Kolek suffered a left oblique strain in late February and has finally been cleared to pitch in games again. He will need at least a couple rehab outings before being an option for the Royals' rotation or bullpen.

The White Sox recalled Davitt from Triple-A Charlotte on Thursday.

Davitt will join the big club for the first time in his career with Chris Murphy (elbow) bound for the injured list and Tyler Schweitzer headed back to the minors. The 26-year-old Davitt hasn't gotten off to a fantastic start this year, giving up seven earned runs over eight innings across his first two outings at Charlotte. Although he's operated exclusively as a starter since 2024, his recent struggles could cause him to begin his MLB career in the bullpen.

Royals manager Matt Quatraro said Thursday that Berget was removed from his last start at Triple-A Omaha on Tuesday because of right elbow discomfort, Anne Rogers of MLB.com reports.

Bergert has traveled to Kansas City to be evaluated by the Royals' medical staff, and more should be known about his prognosis following that visit. The right-hander missed out on a spot in the Royals' Opening Day rotation and has collected a 2.79 ERA and 10:5 K:BB over his first 9.2 innings at Omaha.

Meadows suffered a concussion as a result of a collision in the outfield with Riley Greene during Thursday's game versus the Twins, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports.

Meadows also bit the inside of his mouth upon impact with Greene, resulting in lots of bleeding. He will be held overnight in a Minneapolis hospital for observation, and placement on the 7-day concussion injured list should be a foregone conclusion. The Tigers could recall Wenceel Perez from Triple-A Toledo to take Meadows' roster spot, with Perez and Matt Vierling likely to handle center-field duties.

The White Sox optioned Schweitzer to Triple-A Charlotte on Thursday.

Schweitzer was brought up for his MLB debut Wednesday, but he'll be sent back to the minors after giving up one earned run on two hits and a walk over 1.1 innings against the Orioles. Duncan Davitt and Brandon Eisert will join the White Sox's bullpen to replace Schweitzer and the injured Chris Murphy (elbow).
