Eduarniel Nunez P | ATH
Athletics' Eduarniel Nunez: Scrubbed from 40-man roster
The Athletics designated Nunez for assignment Tuesday.
Acquired from the Padres in the Mason Miller trade, Nunez posted a 7.11 ERA and 11:11 K:BB over 12.2 innings between Padres and Athletics last season. He's split the 2026 season between Double-A Midland and Triple-A Las Vegas, holding a 4.61 ERA and 17:11 K:BB over 13.2 frames. Nunez has poor control, but he's got a big arm and several years of team control, so there's sure to be interest in him via waivers.

Michael Stefanic 2B | ATH
Athletics' Michael Stefanic: Contract selected
The Athletics selected Stefanic's contract from Triple-A Las Vegas on Tuesday.
The 30-year-old will get a look in the big leagues with the A's after signing as a non-roster invitee in December and failing to make the Opening Day roster. Stefanic's .250/.351/.355 slash line in 149 plate appearances at Triple-A this year is underwhelming, though he does have a 17:16 BB:K. He'll provide the club with some infield depth as Jacob Wilson (shoulder) heads to the injured list.

Henry Bolte RF | ATH
Athletics' Henry Bolte: Added to major-league roster
The Athletics selected Bolte's contract from Triple-A Las Vegas on Tuesday.
Bolte was off to a scorching-hot start at Las Vegas, slashing .348/.418/.658 with 12 home runs and 17 stolen bases across 177 plate appearances. The 22-year-old outfielder can handle all three outfield spots and could push the struggling Lawrence Butler (.179/.278/.282) for playing time in center field.

Jacob Wilson SS | ATH
Athletics' Jacob Wilson: Out with shoulder subluxation
The Athletics placed Wilson on the 10-day injured list Tuesday with a left shoulder subluxation.
Wilson injured the shoulder while diving for a ball during Sunday's game against the Orioles. A subluxation is a partial dislocation, so Wilson's absence could be an extended one. Per Martin Gallegos of MLB.com, Wilson will go through exercises to strengthen and stabilize the shoulder before he's cleared for baseball activities. Darell Hernaiz should see the lion's share of playing time at shortstop for the A's while Wilson is out.

Ronald Acuna Jr. RF | ATL
Braves' Ronald Acuna: Unlikely to return Wednesday
Manager Walt Weiss indicated Tuesday that Acuna (hamstring) is progressing well in his recovery from a hamstring strain but isn't likely to be reinstated from the IL when first eligible Wednesday, Grant McAuley of the Marietta Daily Journal reports.
Acuna was diagnosed with a Grade 1 strain and landed on the shelf May 3. He began ramping up his rehab work over the weekend. The 28-year-old doesn't appear too far off from being activated from the injured list, though Weiss also said that it will be "some time" before Acuna is reinstated, per Barrett Sallee of 680 The Fan Atlanta.

Akil Baddoo LF | MIL
Brewers' Akil Baddoo: Beginning rehab assignment
Baddoo (quadriceps) will begin a rehab assignment Friday, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.
Baddoo landed on the 60-day injured list before the season with a left quad strain that he suffered during spring training. He'll need ample rehab at-bats to knock the rust off and is not a lock to be added back to the active roster once he's physically ready.

Rob Zastryzny RP | MIL
Brewers' Rob Zastryzny: Poised for rehab assignment
Zastryzny (shoulder/ribs) will resume a rehab assignment with Triple-A Nashville on Wednesday, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.
Zastryzny began the season on the injured list with a shoulder strain before being pulled off a rehab assignment when he suffered an intercostal strain. The lefty reliever has hardly pitched the last two months, so he'll likely need at least a few rehab outings before being considered for activation.

Sean Murphy C | ATL
Braves' Sean Murphy: Facing extended absence
Manager Walk Weiss said Tuesday that Murphy (finger) is expected to be sidelined at least eight weeks, Grant McAuley of the Marietta Daily Journal reports.
The veteran backstop landed on the injured list earlier Tuesday due to a fractured left middle finger, which he sustained Sunday in just his fourth game of the season after opening the year on the injured list while rehabbing from shoulder surgery. Murphy's absence will extend into July and could push beyond the All-Star break. Drake Baldwin is poised to work as Atlanta's starting catcher, and the club signed Sandy Leon to fill the backup job.
