Bednar gave up a hit and struck out one in a scoreless ninth inning Friday to record his 30th save of the season in a 3-1 win over the Blue Jays.

The veteran closer continues to dominate in his first full season with the Yankees. Since the beginning of June, Bednar has converted 18 of 19 save chances while delivering a 0.81 ERA, 0.57 WHIP and 36:7 K:BB over 33.1 innings. He's the third AL pitcher to reach the 30-save plateau this season, behind the Rays' Bryan Baker (36) and the Guardians' Cade Smith (32).

Beck went 2-for-4 against the Guardians on Friday.

Beck has had a tough season, spending the majority of his time either in the minors or on the injured list. However, he's settled into a short-side platoon role, and he's started three of Colorado's last four games with the team facing a heavy dose of lefties. Beck's multi-hit performance Friday was his first since April 20.

Schlittler (11-6) picked up the win Friday in a 3-1 victory over the Blue Jays, allowing one run on six hits and three walks over six innings. He struck out four.

The AL Cy Young Award favorite wasn't at his most dominant, as the four Ks were his lowest total since June 2, but Schlittler still put together his 16th quality start of the season on 96 pitches (59 strikes). Over nine outings since the beginning of July, the 25-year-old right-hander has compiled a 2.33 ERA, 0.96 WHIP and 70:16 K:BB in just 54 innings. Schlittler will look to keep rolling in his next start, which is scheduled to come at home next week against the Astros.

Bateman went 3-for-5 with a double, a triple and a run scored in Friday's 3-1 loss to the Yankees.

Returning to the lineup in the leadoff spot after sitting out Thursday's contest in Tampa Bay due to a minor hamstring issue, Bateman's legs looked to be 100 percent as he doubled to lead off the fifth inning, before delivering his first big-league triple in the seventh. The 24-year-old has adapted to the majors quickly, collecting multiple hits in six of his last 10 games while putting together a .333/.348/.422 slash line over that stretch with one steal, three runs and four RBI. If Bateman continues to feature near the top of the order -- he's hit first or second in all but one of his starts for Toronto so far -- his combination of speed and on-base skills should result in more production.

Arrighetti (7-6) took the loss Friday, giving up three runs on three hits and two walks over 3.1 innings of relief as the Blue Jays fell 3-1 to the Yankees. He struck out four.

Mason Fluharty couldn't get through the first inning as the opener, walking two batters in two-thirds of an inning, so Arrighetti was put in a tough spot right away as the bulk reliever in his Blue Jays debut. While the former Astro was able to escape that jam by striking out George Lombard, he ran into trouble of his own in the second after a leadoff walk. Arrighetti got lifted after 61 pitches (37 strikes), a small step up in workload from his final rehab start Sunday, but even after he gets fully stretched out he'll be tough to rely upon in fantasy as he pitches through a nerve issue in his right foot. He's set to make his next outing, either as a bulk reliever or traditional starter, at home next week against the Royals.

Bohm went 3-for-5 with a triple, a run scored and three RBI in Friday's 7-6 extra-inning win over the Cardinals.

With two on and nobody out in the bottom of the 10th inning, Bohm crushed a sweeper from Luis Gastelum to the warning track in center field that Jose Fermin couldn't track down, allowing Edmundo Sosa to race home from first base for the winning run. Bohm has had a tough season at the plate overall, but he's caught fire in August, slashing .371/.416/.529 over 19 games with eight extra-base hits (six doubles, one triple and one homer), 11 runs, 15 RBI and more walks (five) than strikeouts (four).

Gonzales went 2-for-5 with two RBI against the Dodgers on Friday.

Gonzales drove in the first run of the game with a single in the opening inning, and he then tacked on an additional run two frames later. In three starts since returning from a head injury, Gonzales has gone 5-for-15 with two RBI, a run scored and a double. Across 499 plate appearances this season, he has maintained an impressive .311 batting average, though Gonzales also has just a .093 ISO.

Luzardo didn't factor into the decision Friday, giving up four runs on six hits and a walk over 5.2 innings in a 7-6 extra-inning victory over the Cardinals. He struck out nine.

All the damage off Luzardo came via the long ball, as Joshua Baez drove a first-inning fastball over the fence in right-center field for a two-run shot, before Jordan Walker put one out to nearly the same spot for another two-run blast in the sixth. It's the first time since June 5 that Luzardo has served up multiple homers in the same game, but he continues to pile up Ks -- over seven starts since the All-Star break he's compiled a 2.96 ERA, 0.99 WHIP and 58:12 K:BB through 45.2 innings. He'll look for his 12th win of 2026 in his next outing, which lines up to come on the road next week in Seattle.

Walker went 3-for-5 with a two-run home run and a second run scored in Friday's 7-6 extra-inning loss to the Phillies.

The young slugger took Jesus Luzardo deep in the sixth inning to briefly give the Cardinals a 4-3 lead in a wild, back-and-forth affair. Walker has homered in three straight games while extending a hit streak to seven games, a blistering stretch in which he's batting .467 (14-for-30). That surge has pushed his slash line on the season up to .291/.350/.513 with 28 doubles, 27 home runs, 17 steals, 81 runs and an MLB-leading 96 RBI, tied with the Reds' Sal Stewart.

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts confirmed that Pages was diagnosed with a left hand fracture following his early exit from Friday's 5-4 extra-inning win over the Pirates, and the outfielder is expected to miss 4-to-5 weeks, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports.

Pages was plunked in the hand by a 100-mph sinker from Bubba Chandler in the third inning, prompting the Dodgers to send the 25-year-old in for X-rays, which confirmed the fracture. Per Kirsten Watson of Spectrum SportsNet LA, Roberts said that he expects Pages to play again in 2026, but the injury will keep the outfielder on the shelf for most, if not all, of what remains in the regular season. Tommy Edman, Enrique Hernandez and Alex Call are candidates to see added reps in center field while Pages is out.
