The Reds claimed Schultz off waivers from the Nationals on Monday.
In 40 appearances at the major-league level, Schultz has collected a 5.53 ERA and 60:20 K:BB covering 57 innings. The 28-year-old will compete for a job in the Reds' bullpen, assuming he's still on the roster when spring training rolls around.
