The Pirates extended Lowe a one-year, $23.15 million qualifying offer Monday, Alex Stumpf of MLB.com reports.
Lowe will have until Nov. 17 to accept or reject the offer. If he rejects it -- which is likely -- and signs elsewhere, the Pirates would receive a draft pick as compensation. Lowe hit .260/.331/.493 while slugging 35 home runs and driving in 96 runs over a career-high 150 games for the Pirates this season.
