The Reds claimed Davitt off waivers from the Giants on Monday.

Davitt permitted eight runs (seven earned) with a 5:4 K:BB over eight innings this season between the White Sox and Giants. The 27-year-old will compete for a spot in the Reds' bullpen, but he does have minor-league options remaining.
