Diaz is not in the lineup Tuesday versus the Angels.

Diaz is absent from the lineup for the second straight game after sitting in Monday's 6-4 win over the Angels. Christian Vazquez has catching duties again and is batting ninth Tuesday.

The Cardinals selected Strzelecki's contract from Triple-A Memphis on Tuesday.

After signing a minor-league deal with the Cardinals on Saturday, Strzelecki will now grab a spot in the big-league bullpen, filling the roster spot vacated by Hunter Dobbins. Strzelecki hasn't pitched in the majors since 2024, but he posted a 3.94 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 38:6 K:BB in 32 innings between the Yankees' and Brewers' Triple-A affiliates.

Martinez isn't in the lineup for the second game of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Reds.

After going 0-for-4 with a pair of strikeouts to start the day, Martinez will move to the bench to begin the second half of Tuesday's festivities. His absence will put Chase DeLauter in right field and Jose Ramirez at DH, allowing Gabriel Arias to start at third base.

Crawford is not in the lineup Tuesday versus the Dodgers.

Crawford is taking a seat after playing in the last three games of a four-game series versus the Rangers that concluded Monday. He went 2-for-10 with two RBI and a double in the three games. With the 31-year-old sitting Tuesday, Weston Wilson has the start at third base and is batting eighth.

Wong isn't in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Athletics.

Wong will rest his legs after going 1-for-4 with a double and a run scored during Monday's series opener. Carlos Narvaez will handle catching duties and bat ninth Tuesday.

Raley is not in the lineup Tuesday versus the Dodgers.

The Dodgers have southpaw Justin Wrobleski on the mound Tuesday, so the left-handed-hitting Raley will take a seat. Dominic Canzone is starting in right field for Raley, while Rob Refsnyder is getting a turn as the designated hitter.

The Red Sox are expected to recall Sogard from Triple-A Worcester on Wednesday, Ari Alexander of 7 News Boston reports.

With Curtis Mead set to miss extended time due to a fractured wrist, Sogard will rejoin the big club to help replenish Boston's infield depth. The 28-year-old can cover all four infield positions and has slashed .257/.350/.371 across 41 major-league plate appearances this season, though he doesn't have a clear pathway to regular playing time.

Lowe is not in the lineup Tuesday versus the Astros, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.

Lowe is starting the game on the bench for the fourth time in the last five games since July 24. Wade Meckler, Mike Trout and Jo Adell are the starting outfielders for the Angels.

The Red Sox are expected to place Mead on the 10-day injured list after he was diagnosed Tuesday with a fractured left wrist, Ari Alexander of 7 News Boston reports.

Mead was hit on the wrist by a pitch during his second at-bat while making his Red Sox debut in Monday's 4-2 win over the Athletics, and the 25-year-old infielder is now facing an extended stint on the IL after follow-up tests on his wrist revealed a fracture. The team hasn't provided an estimated recovery timeline, though if Mead needs surgery, he could be lost for the season. The Red Sox plan to call up Nick Sogard from Triple-A Worcester to replace Mead on the 26-man active roster, and Anthony Seigler will likely reclaim a regular role at second base.

Shewmake rejected an outright assignment to Triple-A Nashville and elected free agency Tuesday, Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

The utility infielder was designated for assignment by the Brewers last week and had the ability to reject an outright assignment since he's been DFA'd before. Shewmake has played in 34 games between Houston and Milwaukee this season and has generated a .259/.270/.424 slash line with four home runs in 91 plate appearances.
