The Mariners reinstated Miller (oblique) from the 15-day injured list ahead of his scheduled start Wednesday in Houston.

The 27-year-old will be making his 2026 debut for the Mariners after spending the first seven weeks of the season on the shelf while recovering from a left oblique strain that he sustained early in spring training. Miller is coming off a rough 2025 campaign in which he compiled a 5.28 ERA and a middling 10.2 K-BB% over 18 starts during the regular season, though he fared better over his three playoff starts. The right-hander was generally sharp over his four-start rehab assignment (1.98 ERA, 1.17 WHIP, 14:7 K:BB in 13.2 innings), but he'll likely need to perform well upon his return from the shelf to ensure he maintains a spot in the Seattle rotation for the long haul. While Miller will receive a standalone start Wednesday, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times relays that the Mariners plan to have him piggyback with the struggling Luis Castillo for a game during next week's series versus the White Sox. How Miller and Castillo perform in their next two appearances could determine which of the two remains in a starting role when the Mariners condense from a six-man to five-man rotation.

Peete was placed on the 7-day injured list at High-A Peoria on Wednesday with an undisclosed injury.

Per Redbird Farmhands, Peete appeared to hurt his hand on a stolen base during Peoria's game Tuesday. The young outfielder had been in Peoria's initial lineup Wednesday before the IL move was made, so his absence should be brief. Acquired over the offseason from the Mariners in the Brendan Donovan trade, Peete has offered a mixed bag at Peoria this season, slashing .276/.355/.537 with five homers and five steals but also a 31.9 percent strikeout rate.

Riley went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Tuesday's win over the Cubs.

The third baseman took Colin Rea deep in the fifth inning as part of a four-run frame for Atlanta that swung the game. Three of Riley's six homers on the season have come in May, and over 10 games this month he's slashing .316/.341/.579 with eight RBI, albeit with a 34.1 percent strikeout rate. Riley has a history of warming up with the weather, with July (.927 OPS) and August (.859 OPS) being the best months over his career, but May isn't far behind at an .841 OPS.

Smith went 4-for-4 with two runs scored in Tuesday's win over the Cubs.

While none of the knocks went for extra bases, it was still a strong showing for the 30-year-old. With Sean Murphy (finger) back on the IL, Smith should resume his role as Atlanta's primary DH against right-handed pitching. Through 81 plate appearances with the platoon edge this season, he's erupted for a .378/.407/.581 slash line with four homers and 18 RBI.

Muncy (hand) is still being held out of all baseball activities and has no timetable for a return, MLB.com reports.

Muncy landed on the injured list April 28 with a fractured fifth metacarpal in his left hand, an injury that originally stemmed from a hit-by-pitch April 13 against the Rangers. The early expectation was that his stay on the injured list would extend beyond the 10-day minimum, and that has proven to be the case. Additionally, a lack of any progression toward baseball activities suggests the young infielder is not especially close to returning to game action. Zack Gelof has recently seized regular opportunities at the hot corner in Muncy's absence.

Berroa (elbow) will begin a rehab assignment Wednesday in the rookie-level Arizona Complex League, Scott Merkin of MLB.com reports.

Advancing to a rehab assignment represents the final stage of the recovery process for Berroa as he works his way back from Tommy John surgery, which he underwent March 7, 2025. The White Sox are likely to keep Berroa in the minors for close to the entirety of his allotted 30-day rehab window, so he shouldn't be expected to return from the 60-day injured list until early June. During his last healthy season with Chicago in 2024, Berroa made 17 appearances out of the bullpen and logged a 3.32 ERA, 1.47 WHIP and 26:13 K:BB over 19 innings.

Clarke (foot) is continuing baseball activities and has progressed to on-field batting practice and outfield drills, MLB.com reports.

Clarke has been on the injured list since April 22 with a deep bone bruise in his right foot and has been slowly progressing in his rehab. These latest developments are a step in the right direction toward a return, though there remains no timetable for the 26-year-old to resume game action. He'll likely require a rehab assignment before being activated to the 26-man roster.

Yankees manager Aaron Boone said Wednesday that Dominguez recently received a PRP injection in his injured left shoulder and is likely a few weeks away from returning, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.

Dominguez landed on the 10-day injured list last week with a left shoulder AC joint sprain after injuring himself when he collided with the outfield wall while making a catch. The good news is he remains clear of concussion symptoms, but it seems unlikely Dominguez will return before the end of May as he recuperates from the shoulder problem. If Giancarlo Stanton (calf) beats Dominguez back from the IL, the latter could be sent back to the minors rather than rejoin the active roster.

Orioles manager Craig Albernaz said Wednesday that Westburg (elbow) is "going through the options, next steps, what he wants to do" following an exam with Dr. Neal ElAttrache on Monday, Jacob Calvin Meyer of The Baltimore Sun reports.

Though Albernaz didn't explicitly state it, it seems Westburg is weighing whether to have surgery to repair the partially torn UCL in his right elbow. He's been sidelined all season by the injury and recently encountered a setback, which prompted Monday's exam. If Westburg does wind up having his UCL repaired, it would knock him out for the remainder of the 2026 season.

The Angels placed Pomeranz on the 15-day injured list Wednesday due to elbow inflammation, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

Pomeranz appeared in relief for an inning Tuesday against Cleveland, which is presumably when he suffered the injury. The 37-year-old has made 17 appearances with a rocky 7.20 ERA this season. Ryan Johnson was activated from the IL in a corresponding move.
