Urias' (elbows) rehab assignment has been paused after he was hit on the elbow by a pitch at Triple-A Memphis on Sunday, Jeff Jones of the Belleville News-Democrat reports.

Urias still has inflammation in his elbow as a result of the hit-by-pitch, and he also required stitches for his right ankle when the ball struck the area after deflecting off his elbow. The veteran infielder has been out since early May with tennis elbow in both arms.

The Angels are expected to promote Murphy from Double-A Rocket City before this weekend's series against the Brewers, Taylor Blake Ward of TheSportingTribune.com reports.

Murphy is old for the Southern League at 26, but he's nonetheless had a dominant season with a 0.71 ERA, 0.82 WHIP and 47:10 K:BB over 38 innings. The right-handed reliever will need to be added to the 40-man roster in addition to the 26-man active roster.

The Nationals activated Irvin (shoulder) from the 60-day injured list Thursday.

Irvin is slated to rejoin the Nationals' rotation with a start Thursday in Atlanta. It will be his first outing at the big-league level since late May, as Irvin has been working his way back from a right shoulder strain. Irvin made three rehab starts and topped out at 58 pitches, so he will be limited from a workload perspective Thursday.

Crooks is not in the lineup for Thursday's game versus the Cubs.

Ivan Herrera has been the personal catcher for Andre Pallante this season, and those two will form the battery for the Cardinals in Thursday's series finale. The left-handed-hitting Crooks has started just one of the past six games, though three of those contests have been against southpaws.

Ruiz went 2-for-4 with a double, two runs scored and a stolen base in Wednesday's win over the Phillies.

The steal was the 25th of the season for Ruiz in only 141 plate appearances, the first time he's reached that mark in the majors since he pilfered 67 as a rookie for the A's in 2023. Ruiz hasn't been able to seize a full-time role with the Marlins, but over 11 games and 24 PAs since the All-Star break he's hitting .318 (7-for-22) with a double, a solo homer, five steals and five runs while bouncing between center field and right field. Owen Caissie (calf) is close to coming off the IL to cloud the picture in right field even further, but more playing time could open up for Ruiz after the trade deadline if Miami deals away outfield competitors like Heriberto Hernandez.

Murphy (finger) has five hits over his last two games for Triple-A Gwinnett.

The veteran catcher began a rehab assignment at Gwinnett on July 25, and Murphy was able to play a full seven innings of defense Wednesday in the first game of a doubleheader. Given how much time he's missed the season with various injuries, Atlanta isn't likely to rush Murphy back from the IL, but he looks like he's finally 100 percent healthy, maybe for the first time in 2026. With the trade deadline coming Monday, Atlanta might wait until the dust has settled on any roster moves before finding room on the 26-man roster for Murphy.

Kim (finger) has gone 7-for-31 (.226) with four doubles, three steals, three runs and three RBI over his last nine games for Triple-A Gwinnett.

The veteran infielder began a rehab assignment July 13 in the Florida Complex League before getting bumped up to Gwinnett on July 18. Per Mark Bowman of MLB.com, Kim's 20-day rehab stint will end after Saturday's contest, forcing Atlanta to either activate him or find a way to move him to another organization -- something that could be difficult given the remaining money on his one-year, $20 million contract, and his .068/.171/.068 slash line through 82 big-league plate appearances this season.

Caballero is absent from the lineup for Thursday's tilt versus the White Sox.

The Yankees will go with Anthony Volpe at shortstop in the series finale. Caballero has just a .574 OPS in July but did contribute a pair of hits and a stolen base in Wednesday's loss to the White Sox.

Thomas is not in the lineup for Thursday's contest in Minnesota.

It's the first day off since June 24 for Thomas, who is likely to be traded before Monday's deadline. John Rave will patrol center field for the Royals while Thomas rests.

Antonacci is not in the lineup for Thursday's game against the Yankees.

The left-handed-hitting Antonacci doesn't always sit versus lefties, but he'll take a seat Thursday as the Yankees go with southpaw Ryan Weathers on the bump. Randal Grichuk will play left field for the White Sox.
