The Rockies optioned Peralta to Triple-A Albuquerque on Friday.

Peralta was promoted from Triple-A on Sunday and gave up a solo homer while striking out three batters across two innings during his lone outing with the big club. He'll now end up as the roster casualty necessary to make room for Sean Sullivan, who was called up to start Friday's contest.

Sogard (oblique) told reporters Friday that he plans to start swinging a bat Monday, Gabrielle Starr of the Boston Herald reports.

Sogard landed on the 10-day injured list in early June due to a right oblique strain. He's progressed enough to take the next step in his rehab program, and the Red Sox should have a better sense of Sogard's recovery timeline once he moves onto swinging out of a cage. He had gone 9-for-35 (.257) with two RBI and three runs scored prior to landing on the IL.

The Rockies selected Sullivan's contract from Triple-A Albuquerque ahead of his start Friday against the Athletics.

Sullivan will be making his MLB debut Friday, though he will be doing so in a very hitter-friendly environment at Las Vegas Ballpark after posting a 5.76 ERA and 1.57 WHIP in 54.2 innings at Triple-A, making him a less-than-desirable fantasy option. Sammy Peralta was optioned to Albuquerque to make room for Sullivan on the active roster, and Chase Dollander (elbow) was moved to the 60-day IL to free up a 40-man spot.

Rangers manager Skip Schumaker said Friday that Seager is considered "day-to-day" due to rib and jaw injuries that he sustained during Thursday's game against the Royals, Shawn McFarland of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Seager was shaken up after colliding with Carter Jensen at home plate during Thursday's game. Seager will take a seat for at least one game while Ezequiel Duran starts at shortstop and bats fifth for Friday's series opener.

Blue Jays manager John Schneider said Friday that Bieber (elbow) will likely make another rehab start with Triple-A Buffalo before rejoining Toronto, Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Bieber looked sharp in his second rehab start Thursday, tossing six scoreless innings while allowing five hits and a walk with five strikeouts. If the veteran right-hander needs another turn in Triple-A and all goes well, then he could be available to return for the Blue Jays' series opener against the Astros on Monday, June 22. Bieber's return would likely result in Patrick Corbin being removed from the Blue Jays' rotation.

Imaging on Ohtani's left knee revealed Friday that he isn't dealing with any structural damage, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.

Ohtani will be held out of Friday's contest against the White Sox, but manager Dave Roberts said before the game that the two-way star isn't dealing with anything more than inflammation in his left knee. He's expected to resume duties as the Dodgers' designated hitter sometime this weekend and remains on track to make his next start on the mound Wednesday.

The Royals recalled Morgan from Triple-A Omaha on Friday.

The move corresponds with the Royals placing Seth Lugo on the 7-day concussion list. Morgan has split his time somewhat evenly between the majors and the minors this season. He's appeared in 13 games for the Royals and has a 5.51 ERA, 1.90 WHIP and 15:8 K:BB across 16.1 innings. Morgan could just be a placeholder in the bullpen until the Royals need to call up a starter to replace Lugo in the rotation.

The Orioles released Pham on Friday, Rich Dubroff of BaltimoreBaseball.com reports.

The veteran outfielder recently exercised the opt-out in his minor-league contract, and the organization has now granted him his release. Pham signed with Baltimore in mid-May and had a .175/.254/.381 slash line and 29.6 percent strikeout rate in 16 games for Triple-A Norfolk.

The Royals placed Lugo on the 7-day concussion list Friday.

Lugo was struck in the forehead by a line drive during Wednesday's game against the Rangers. The good news for Lugo was that a subsequent CT scan came back negative, but he's now in the league's concussion protocol and will need to hit multiple checkpoints before being cleared to return to the majors. In a corresponding move, the Royals recalled Eli Morgan from Triple-A Omaha.

Rodriguez (hip) is starting behind the plate and batting seventh Friday against the Marlins.

The 26-year-old exited Wednesday's game against the Dodgers due to left hip discomfort but is ready to rejoin the lineup for Friday's series opener versus the Marlins. Since going 2-for-4 with a double and a homer June 2, Rodriguez has just one hit in 16 at-bats over his past seven contests.
