Gimenez went 4-for-5 with an RBI and a stolen base in Saturday's extra-innings win over the A's.

The 27-year-old has come flying out of the gate this season, going 6-for-8 in two games with a triple, a steal and four RBI. Gimenez is shifting over to shortstop on a full-time basis this season after mainly playing second base during his big-league career so far -- the last time he saw more action at the six was in 2021 with Cleveland. Gimenez won't stay that hot at the plate for long, but he should have no trouble improving on last year's .598 OPS if he stays healthy.

Fortes is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Cardinals.

Fortes is on the bench for a second straight matchup, with both coming against right-handed starting pitchers. The left-handed-hitting Hunter Feduccia could be the Rays' preferred catcher versus righties, though he and Fortes are unlikely to be used in a strict platoon.

Williamson is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Cardinals.

The 25-year-old was part of the Opening Day lineup against lefty Matthew Liberatore, but he's been held out of the starting nine for two straight games versus right-handers. Williamson will handle the short side of a platoon at second base with Richie Palacios until the Rays get Gavin Lux (shoulder) back from the injured list.

Miles (1-0) picked up the win Saturday against the A's, walking one and striking out one in a scoreless 11th inning.

The Rule 5 pick was thrown right into a high-leverage situation in his big-league debut, and Miles rose to the challenge by stranding the phantom runner before the Blue Jays walked it off in the bottom of the frame. Miles was sitting 97-98 mph with both his two-seam and four-seam fastballs while mixing in a slider that produced his first career strikeout against Max Muncy, and while the 25-year-old right-hander had never pitched above Single-A prior to Saturday, his arsenal could quickly make him an asset in the Toronto bullpen if his control and command hold up.

Varsho went 2-for-4 with two walks, a run scored and an RBI in Saturday's extra-innings win over the A's.

The center fielder went 0-for-4 in the Blue Jays' opener, but Varsho had much more success Saturday even with lefty Jeffrey Springs on the bump for the A's. Varsho launched 20 homers in only 71 regular-season games in 2025, and if he can stay healthy this season he could be headed for career-best power numbers.

Devers went 2-for-4 with a double in Saturday's 3-1 loss to the Yankees.

Devers singled in the first inning and collected his first extra-base hit of the season with a double in the sixth. The veteran slugger made his third straight start at designated hitter, and manager Tony Vitello said Friday that Devers has yet to play the field due to lingering left hamstring tightness, according to John Shea of The San Francisco Standard. As a result, Casey Schmitt has started at first base in three consecutive contests.

Arraez went 2-for-4 with a stolen base in Saturday's 3-1 loss to the Yankees.

Arraez hit third Saturday after being deployed in the leadoff spot during San Francisco's first two games. The 28-year-old infielder singled in the first inning, advanced to second and then stole third. He also singled in the eighth for his first multi-hit effort of the season. Through three games, Arraez is 3-for-11 with a walk, a strikeout and a stolen base.

Chapman went 1-for-4 with an RBI in Saturday's 3-1 loss to the Yankees.

Chapman recorded an RBI single in the third inning, picking up his first hit of the season after going 0-for-5 with three walks over San Francisco's first two games. The veteran third baseman has had a quiet start to the season after putting together a strong spring, during which he slashed .405/.421/.838 with nine RBI, seven runs scored and three long balls across 38 plate appearances in 15 Cactus League games.

The Orioles acquired Sandridge from the Angels on Sunday in exchange for cash and optioned him to Triple-A Norfolk, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.

Sandridge will reclaim a 40-man roster spot with his new organization after being DFA'ed by the Halos, but he's still set to begin the 2026 season in Triple-A, where he put up a 4.55 ERA and 1.47 WHIP across 31.2 innings last year. He'll serve as organizational bullpen depth for the O's.

Lee went 1-for-3 with a double, a walk and a run scored in Saturday's 3-1 loss to the Yankees.

Lee shifted to the leadoff spot Saturday and doubled in the third inning before coming around to score San Francisco's lone run. He also drew a walk in the fifth. The 27-year-old outfielder has struggled to begin the campaign, going 1-for-10 with two strikeouts across three games.
