Lopez (knee) will return from the 15-day injured list to start Wednesday's game against the Rays in Atlanta, Chad Bishop of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

Atlanta will keep a six-man rotation intact but will open up a spot for Lopez by shifting Bryce Elder to the bullpen, at least for the next week. Lopez will make his return to the big club after a strong showing in his three-start rehab assignment at Triple-A Gwinnett, during which he rung up a 2.57 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 11:3 K:BB in 14 innings. He tossed 93 pitches in his final rehab outing and shouldn't face any workload restrictions Wednesday, when he makes his 12th start of the season for Atlanta.

Yastrzemski is out of the lineup for Monday's game in Philadelphia.

Yastrzemski will sit for the third time in Atlanta's four-game series with Philadelphia, with two of those absences having come against left-handed pitching. Since the All-Star break, Yastrzemski has turned in a lackluster .214/.287/.393 line over 37 games, and his underwhelming production could put him in danger of losing his strong-side platoon role and becoming more of a part-time player versus right-handed pitching.

Miami announced Monday that Bender (shin) has been shut down from throwing after encountering another setback, Craig Mish of Marlins.tv reports.

Bender has been shelved since late June due to a stress reaction in his right shin, and he's experienced at least two setbacks during his rehab program. The reliever will be re-evaluated at the Marlins' spring training complex in Florida before a decision is made on his next steps, but it's possible his 2026 season is over.

Miami announced Monday that Meyer (neck/rib) has resumed a throwing program, Craig Mish of Marlins.tv reports.

Meyer has finally been cleared for a throwing progression after being out for the past seven weeks due to a neck strain and more recently rib discomfort. The right-hander almost surely doesn't have enough time to get ramped back up to return as a starting pitcher, but it's possible the Marlins will activate Meyer to pitch in relief later this month if all goes well with his throwing program.

Brewers manager Pat Murphy said Monday that Harrison is scheduled to start Saturday against the Reds, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

After Harrison struggled again in Sunday's loss to the Reds, Murphy noted after the contest that a role change for the left-hander was on the table. Harrison will get another start this weekend, though Murphy indicated the leash would be short and the club would likely have a long man ready in the bullpen just in case. The owner of a 6.15 ERA over his last eight starts, Harrison has lasted just 3.2 innings in each of his last two outings.

Brewers manager Pat Murphy said that Bauers is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Cubs as part of his maintenance plan for shin splints, Hunter Baumgardt of Fox Sports 920 Milwaukee reports.

Bauers recently revealed that he was diagnosed with shin splints Aug. 23, and the injury is something that is unlikely to improve while he intends to play through it the rest of the season. In an effort to help Bauers manage the injury, he'll be given periodic rest days, and the Brewers decided that keeping the left-handed hitter on the bench Monday was an optimal time to do so while southpaw Matthew Boyd takes the hill for the Cubs. Andrew Vaughn will step in at first base in place of Bauers, who went 6-for-25 with a home run, a stolen base and a whopping 16 walks while starting in nine of the Brewers' previous 10 games.

Sanoja went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run and a second run scored in Sunday's win over the Cubs.

Getting the start at second base and batting ninth, Sanoja took Colin Rea deep in the seventh inning for the Marlins' final runs in a 10-3 rout. The utility infielder has hit safely in seven straight games, batting .429 (12-for-28) during that heater with one double, two homers, four RBI and six runs, and he should remain a fixture in the lineup as long as Xavier Edwards (thumb) is sidelined, with Sanoja covering second base against right-handed pitching and sliding over to third base against lefties.

The steal was Lopez's 30th of the season, marking the first time in his career he's reached that plateau. Lopez has been bouncing around the batting order of late against right-handed pitching -- he hit seventh Sunday, the first time all year he's been in the bottom third -- but he's remained fairly productive, slashing .264/.298/.396 over his last 13 games with four extra-base hits including one homer, along with five steals, five RBI and eight runs.

Hernandez went 2-for-4 with a walk, a home run, two runs scored, two RBI and a stolen base in Sunday's win over the Cubs.

The 26-year-old outfielder launched a solo shot off Clay Holmes in the fourth inning, Hernandez's sixth long ball in his last 15 games and 24th of the season. He was hitting below the Mendoza Line as late as May 26, but he's pulled his slash line up to .230/.315/.471 on the season through 112 contests with 45 runs, 63 RBI and a surprising 11 steals.

Edwards (thumb) fielded grounders at LoanDepot Park on Monday, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.

It appears to be the first time Edwards has been allowed to catch a ball with his glove since he suffered a left thumb sprain in late August. The infielder could be ready for activation from the 10-day injured list later this week, though the Marlins have not revealed a specific timeline for Edwards.
