The Rockies optioned Hughes to Triple-A Albuquerque on Saturday.
Hughes turned in a no-decision against the Mariners on Friday, allowing three runs on five hits and one walk while striking out six over 4.2 innings. He now appears set to finish the year in the minors, unless the Rockies need him as an injury replacement during the final week. Hughes has gone 0-8 with a 6.33 ERA in 64 innings with Colorado this season, though a 4.03 FIP is more encouraging.
