Holmes allowed one hit and no walks while striking out four across four scoreless innings out of the bullpen during Saturday's 5-0 loss to the Giants.

Manager Walt Weiss indicated that Holmes would be available as a reliever this weekend if needed, and the skipper called upon the right-hander after starter Bryce Elder surrendered five runs across four innings. Holmes lasted fewer than five frames in each of his last three starts and had a 6.10 ERA, 2.03 WHIP and 8:10 K:BB across 10.1 innings during those appearances, but the strong showing out of the bullpen could help him to get back on track. The 30-year-old was expected to make his usual turn through the starting rotation this week if he went unused in relief, so he should slot back into the rotation next weekend versus the Mets after the bullpen appearance.

Carrasco signed a minor-league contract with Atlanta on Saturday.

The 39-year-old elected free agency after being designated for assignment by Atlanta on Wednesday, but he'll return to the club on a minor-league deal for the sixth time in 2026. Carrasco has pitched decently in the majors this season with a 3.68 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 6:1 K:BB across 14.2 relief innings.

De La Cruz batted leadoff and went 0-for-4 with a walk in Saturday's 9-6 win over Pittsburgh.

De La Cruz moved from second in the order to leadoff, as Blake Dunn (elbow) was held out Saturday. Dunn's condition has not yet been determined, so De La Cruz could remain atop the order until Dunn is ready to return. In four games back from the injured list, De La Cruz is 1-for-14 with three walks, one RBI and one run scored.

Myers started in center field and went 1-for-3 with a walk and a run scored in Saturday's 9-6 win over the Pirates.

Myers replaced Blake Dunn (elbow) during Friday's game when the latter was removed and remained in center field Saturday. An MRI on Dunn's elbow Saturday did not lend clarity to his condition, and he could head back to Cincinnati for further testing. Until Dunn is ready to return, Myers is expected to get most of the work in center field. He's slashing .252/.356/.374 with three home runs, 13 RBI, five steals and 18 runs over 135 plate appearances (62 games).

Dunn underwent an MRI on his right elbow Saturday and is likely to return to Cincinnati for further testing, Mark Sheldon of MLB.com reports.

Dunn was held out of the lineup for Saturday's 9-7 win over the Pirates after being removed from Friday's 6-4 victory due to elbow discomfort. The Reds want to conduct further tests before landing on a diagnosis for his injury. Dunn was replaced in center field Saturday by Dane Myers and as the team's leadoff hitter by Elly De La Cruz.

Perdomo went 3-for-4 with a double and a run scored in Saturday's 4-2 loss to the Rays.

Perdomo scored a run in the first inning after swatting a double. Since moving up to second in the order 11 games ago, Perdomo is batting .250 with a .388 on-base percentage (nine walks) and seven runs scored. After a rocky first two months, Perdomo has rebounded in June, slashing .293/.408/.390 over 24 games this month.

Kepler started in left field and went 0-for-3 in Saturday's 4-2 loss to Tampa Bay.

Kepler, who was in left field for a second consecutive day since being reinstated from an 80-game suspension, is still looking for his first hit in an Arizona uniform. The left-handed batter may be the preferred option in left field against right-handers. The Diamondbacks finish out the series with the Rays on Sunday, when they are scheduled to face Tampa Bay right-hander Drew Rasmussen. The right-handed hitting Lourdes Gurriel, who is also in the left field mix, was given Saturday off after serving as the designated hitter Thursday and Friday.

Sanoja went 3-for-4 with a run, an RBI and two stolen bases in a 5-1 win over the Cardinals on Saturday.

Sanoja took advantage of just his third start over Miami's past seven games by rapping three singles from the No. 8 spot in the batting order. The speedy utility man capitalized while he was on the basepaths with a steal in each of the fourth and ninth innings. Sanoja appears to be sharing starts at third base with Graham Pauley and Leo Jimenez, though the recent demotion of Connor Norby to the minors could lead to Sanoja seeing a bit more playing time.

Pallante (9-5) took the loss against Miami on Saturday, allowing five runs on 11 hits and one walk while striking out four batters over 6.2 innings.

The 11 knocks allowed by Pallante marked a season-worst total, though only two of those hits -- both doubles -- went for extra bases. The right-hander was unable to navigate around the steady flow of traffic, as Miami scored in four of the seven innings during which he pitched. It wasn't all bad news for Pallante though, as he gave St. Louis 6.2 innings, and he's now completed at least six frames in four straight starts. Pallante entered Saturday having logged five wins, a 2.68 ERA and a 0.99 WHIP across his previous seven starts, so the setback against the red-hot Marlins shouldn't impact his strong grip on a rotation spot. He's lined up to make his next start on the road against the Cubs.

Gusto surrendered three hits and issued one walk while striking out four batters over 3.1 scoreless innings in a no-decision against St. Louis on Saturday.

Gusto continues to be held to a throttled workload -- over five starts, he's yet to complete more than 4.2 innings and has gone beyond 70 pitches just once. Though the right-hander was limited to 63 pitches Saturday, he pitched quite well, throwing 41 of those offerings for strikes and limiting the Cardinals to three singles, a hit-by-pitch and a walk. Gusto was rocked for five runs over 4.2 frames against Philadelphia on June 15, but he's rebounded nicely by giving up just one run across 7.2 innings while registering a 10:3 K:BB over his subsequent two starts. That should earn him continued turns in the rotation -- at least until Janson Junk (shin) is ready to return -- but Gusto's fantasy value will be limited until he's able to start pitching deeper into games.
