Sean Murphy C | ATL
Braves' Sean Murphy: Resting Saturday
Murphy isn't in Atlanta's lineup for Saturday's game against Oakland.
Murphy has gone just 2-for-13 since returning from the injured list, so he'll get a chance to regroup Saturday while Travis d'Arnaud starts behind the dish, batting sixth.

Randy Vasquez SP | SD
Padres' Randy Vasquez: Recalled to start Saturday
The Padres recalled Vasquez from Triple-A El Paso to start Saturday's game against the Royals.
Vasquez was optioned to Triple-A in May after posting a 5.82 ERA and 1.75 WHIP across 21.2 innings through his first five starts. His numbers get even worse in the minors (7.45 ERA, 1.88 WHIP), but he will be called upon for another start with the Padres nonetheless.

Joc Pederson DH | TEX
Diamondbacks' Joc Pederson: Idle against southpaw
Pederson isn't in Arizona's lineup for Saturday's game against the Mets.
The lefty-hitting Pederson will retreat to the dugout Saturday as lefty Sean Manaea draws the start on the mound for New York. Ketel Marte will fill in as the D-backs' DH while Blaze Alexander starts at second base.
-
Jake McCarthy LF | COL
Diamondbacks' Jake McCarthy: Sitting versus lefty
McCarthy isn't in the Diamondbacks' lineup for Saturday's game against the Mets.
With left-hander Sean Manaea starting on the hill for New York, the lefty-hitting McCarthy will step out of the lineup Saturday. Randal Grichuk will fill the opening in right field and bat fifth.

Jake Cronenworth 2B | SD
Padres' Jake Cronenworth: Plates three runs Friday
Cronenworth went 2-for-5 with a double, a run and three RBI in an 11-8 win over Kansas City on Friday.
Cronenworth was a key part of San Diego's nine-run eighth inning, knocking in the first two runs of the frame with a single and capping the outburst with an RBI double. The pair of base knocks were much-needed for the second baseman, as he had just one hit over his previous 14 at-bats prior to the big inning. Cronenworth slashed .265/.315/.461 with four homers, 18 RBI, nine runs and a stolen base over 26 games in May.

Christian Bethancourt C | PIT
Marlins' Christian Bethancourt: Placed on bereavement list
The Marlins placed Bethancourt on the bereavement list Saturday.
Bethancourt will be away from the team for three games as he tends to more important matters. Jhonny Pereda was recalled from Triple-A Jacksonville in a corresponding move and will likely split time with Nick Fortes behind the plate while Bethancourt is out.

Jurickson Profar LF | ATL
Padres' Jurickson Profar: Continues hot hitting
Profar went 3-for-5 with two RBI in Friday's 11-8 victory versus the Royals.
Profar plated a run with a single in the sixth inning and added another RBI knock in the Padres' nine-run eighth. The veteran is working on a modest four-game hitting streak, during which he's gone 7-for-15 with a home run and five RBI. Profar's .330 batting average this season is second in the majors behind only teammate Luis Arraez (.342).

Jhonny Pereda C | SEA
Marlins' Jhonny Pereda: Recalled to majors
The Marlins recalled Pereda from Triple-A Jacksonville on Saturday, Daniel Alvarez-Montes of ElExtraBase.com reports.
Pereda has slashed .275/.398/.406 across 83 plate appearances in the minors this season, and he will now come up from Triple-A to give the Marlins additional depth behind the plate while Christian Bethancourt (bereavement) is out. Pereda went 0-for-5 in three games during his first stint in the majors in April.
-
Otto Lopez SS | MIA
Marlins' Otto Lopez: Three hits in Friday's win
Lopez went 3-for-4 with a stolen base in Friday's 8-2 win over the Rangers.
The 25-year-old has five hits in the last two games as he solidifies his hold on the starting job at second base for the Marlins. Lopez isn't supplying any power right now, however -- while he's batting .325 (13-for-40) over his last 11 games with three steals, three runs and eight RBI, his last extra-base hit was a double May 18.

Jesus Sanchez DH | ARI
Marlins' Jesus Sanchez: Big power display Friday
Sanchez went 3-for-3 with a walk, two doubles, a three-run home run and a second run scored in Friday's 8-2 win over the Rangers.
He took Jesus Tinoco deep in the seventh inning, Sanchez's second long ball in as many games but only his fourth of the year. The 26-year-old outfielder had snapped a 29-game homer drought with his blast Wednesday, and he's suddenly caught fire at the plate, batting .391 (9-for-23) over the last seven contests. Despite the surge, Sanchez is slashing just .245/.302/.355 on the season.
