Scott McGough RP | ATH
Diamondbacks' Scott McGough: Allows run as opener
McGough recorded two outs as Sunday's opener against the Padres, allowing one run on one hit and no walks while striking out a batter.
McGough allowed a solo home run to Fernando Tatis and was unable to complete the first frame after he was replaced by Tommy Henry to face Jake Cronenworth for the final out of the inning. McGough has struggled to a 6.62 ERA, 1.64 WHIP and 12:10 K:BB over 17.2 innings thus far. It's unclear if the team has plans to keep him around for the time being or send him back to Triple-A Reno.

Corbin Carroll RF | ARI
Diamondbacks' Corbin Carroll: Swipes another bag Sunday
Carroll went 2-for-4 with a walk and two runs scored in Sunday's win over the Padres.
Carroll tallied his second multi-hit game as well as his second stolen base this month after nabbing second in the eighth. He now has six hits and has reached base a total of nine times over his last four games. The 23-year-old still has a poor season slash line of .204/.291/.290 with two homers, 20 RBI, 33 runs and a 28:52 BB:K in 278 plate appearances.

Brett Baty 3B | NYM
Mets' Brett Baty: Could get work at second base
Baty might see action at second base with Triple-A Syracuse, Will Sammon of The Athletic reports.
The Mets have struggled to get production from the keystone all season, with Jeff McNeil slumping to a career-worst .624 OPS. Jose Iglesias has filled in admirably against left-handed pitching of late, but the 34-year-old isn't a long-term solution. Baty could get a chance to fill that hole later in the year, especially if McNeil gets traded, but first he'll need to get himself straightened out at the plate -- Baty lost the starting job at third base due to a .229/.306/.327 slash line through 50 big-league games.

Adam Mazur P | MIA
Padres' Adam Mazur: Hit hard in loss
Mazur (0-1) took the loss Sunday against the Diamondbacks, allowing eight runs on eight hits and three walks while striking out two over three innings.
Mazur was hit hard in just his second MLB start. The Diamondbacks scratched a run against him in the first but did most of their damage in the second when they piled on six runs, which was capped off by a two-run blast by Jake McCarthy. Mazur was able to pitch a clean third but was lifted after allowing a leadoff walk in the fourth and that runner would eventually come around to score. Mazur is known for his elite command of the strike zone but has now walked seven batters over his first nine big-league innings and is showing some early jitters. He'll look to turn things around in a road matchup against the Mets over the weekend.

Jazz Chisholm Jr. 2B | NYY
Marlins' Jazz Chisholm: Slugs ninth homer
Chisholm went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's loss to the Guardians.
The center fielder took Carlos Carrasco deep to lead off the fourth inning and get the Marlins on the board. Chisholm isn't making consistent contact, but he's on pace for career highs in the counting stats, and over the last 12 games he's slashing .250/.284/.469 with three of his nine homers and three of his 12 steals on the season.

Ji-Hwan Bae 2B | MIL
Pirates' Ji Hwan Bae: Out multiple weeks
Pirates director of sports medicine Todd Tomczyk said Friday that Bae (wrist) won't grip a bat for 10 to 14 days, MLB.com reports.
Bae landed on the injured list Tuesday with a right wrist sprain and won't be ready to return after the minimum 10 days. His ongoing absence should allow Jack Suwinski to hold down the strong side of a platoon in center field for the foreseeable future.

A.J. Puk RP | ARI
Marlins' A.J. Puk: Hit with loss in relief
Puk (0-7) took the loss Sunday against the Guardians, coughing up three runs on three hits in a third of an inning.
Entering the game in the seventh inning with the score tied 2-2, Puk gave up a couple one-out singles before Tyler Freeman got hold of a sweeper on the inside corner of the plate and pulled it over the left-field fence. Puk's fortunes haven't improved much since he came off the IL in mid-May and returned to the bullpen -- over his last 11 innings, he's stumbled to a 4.91 ERA with a 6:3 K:BB.

Fernando Tatis Jr. RF | SD
Padres' Fernando Tatis: Swats another homer in loss
Tatis went 1-for-4 with a solo home run and a walk in Sunday's loss to the Diamondbacks.
Tatis extended his hitting streak to 15 games with a solo blast to center in the first inning and would go quiet the rest of the afternoon. The hit streak is a new career high for him and also the longest active streak in baseball. Over that span, he's hitting .410/.463/.672 with four homers, eight RBI, 11 runs and a 4:8 BB:K over 67 plate appearances. He's raised his batting average nearly 40 points since the streak began and now holds a slash line of .281/.359/.467 with a team-high 12 home runs.

Jurickson Profar LF | ATL
Padres' Jurickson Profar: Homers in blowout loss
Profar went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's loss to the Diamondbacks.
Profar took Tommy Henry deep in the third inning for his second home run over his last three games. Since May 28, the switch hitter has racked up five multi-hit performances while slashing .349/.431/.605 with three homers, 11 RBI, six runs and a 6:9 BB:K in 50 plate appearances. The 31-year-old's .325 average currently ranks second in baseball, while his .302 xBA ranks 11th among qualified batters.
