Rowdy Tellez 1B | ATL
Pirates' Rowdy Tellez: Late addition to lineup
Tellez will start at first base and bat eighth in Wednesday's game against the Cardinals.
Though he had been scheduled to receive Wednesday's game off with a lefty (Matthew Liberatore) taking the hill for the Cardinals, Tellez was added to the lineup after Bryan Reynolds (back) was scratched from the starting nine. Connor Joe had been slated to fill in for Tellez at first base but will instead replace Reynolds in the outfield.

Bryan Reynolds LF | PIT
Pirates' Bryan Reynolds: Late scratch due to back spasms
Reynolds was a late scratch from the lineup for Wednesday's game versus the Cardinals due to back spasms, Alex Stumpf of MLB.com reports.
Reynolds will be examined and treated by the Pirates medical staff and is considered day-to-day for the time being. It's the first time all season that he's been out of the lineup. The Pirates have a scheduled off day, so Reynolds will be afforded some extra rest before their next game Friday in Arizona.

Garrett Stubbs C | PHI
Phillies' Garrett Stubbs: Losing work to Realmuto
Stubbs will start at catcher and bat eighth in Wednesday's game against the Twins.
Though he's included in the lineup for the series finale in Minnesota, Stubbs has moved back into the No. 2 role at catcher after JT Realmuto was reinstated from the injured list Saturday. Realmuto has been on the bench twice in the Phillies' five contests since his activation, but both of his absences came in day games after night games.

J.T. Realmuto C | PHI
Phillies' J.T. Realmuto: Hitting bench for series finale
Realmuto is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Twins.
Garrett Stubbs will draw the start behind the plate while Realmuto receives a breather for the day game after catching all nine innings of Tuesday's 3-0 win. Since being activated from the injured list Saturday, Realmuto has gone 2-for-9 with three walks and a run over his three starts.

Evan Phillips RP | LAD
Dodgers' Evan Phillips: Pitches final out for save
Phillips earned a one-out save in Tuesday's 5-2 win over the Giants after walking a batter.
Phillips entered the game in relief of Alex Vesia to face Jorge Soler with the Dodgers up 5-2. Phillips would go on to walk Soler on four pitches before eventually getting LaMonte Wade to ground out to end the game. While Phillips picked up his first save since July 5, he still looked shaky on the mound and now has three walks in his last two appearances. He's now up to 15 saves on the year to accompany a 3.73 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 34:11 K:BB in 31.1 innings.

Rob Zastryzny RP | MIL
Brewers' Rob Zastryzny: Slated to open Wednesday's game
Zastryzny will serve as the Brewers' opening pitcher for Wednesday's game against the Cubs, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.
Zastryzny will receive his third opener assignment of the season but likely won't be asked to work much more than one inning Wednesday. Jakob Junis and Bryse Wilson are candidates to cover multiple innings out of the bullpen once Zastryzny exits the contest.

Gary Sanchez C | MIL
Brewers' Gary Sanchez: Returns from IL
The Brewers activated Sanchez (calf) from the 10-day injured list Wednesday.
Sanchez missed the previous month of action with a strained left calf. The Brewers will carry three catchers for the time being, which will give the team the option of using Sanchez, William Contreras or Eric Haase at designated hitter on days they're not catching.

Christian Yelich DH | MIL
Brewers' Christian Yelich: Lands on IL with back inflammation
The Brewers placed Yelich on the 10-day injured list Wednesday with low-back inflammation.
Yelich was removed from Tuesday's win over the Cubs when his back flared up on him. It's been a nagging issue for Yelich off and on for the last few years, and he will visit with a specialist the coming days, per Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. Yelich isn't sure how long he might be sidelined, but his tone Wednesday seemed ominous, as he discussed "a couple different discussions I think that need to be had." Gary Sanchez returned from the 10-day IL to take Yelich's roster spot and will be one of the candidates to fill in for him at designated hitter.

Landon Knack RP | LAD
Dodgers' Landon Knack: Earns second win
Knack (2-2) got the win over the Giants on Tuesday, allowing one run on two hits and two walks while striking out six over five innings.
The lone tally against Knack was a solo home run by Tyler Fitzgerald in the second. Knack otherwise put together another strong outing, registering 10 whiffs and limiting the Giants to weak contact outside of the home run. The 26-year-old continues to prove he belongs up with the Dodgers, putting up a 3.07 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and 42:12 K:BB in 44 innings so far this year. The Dodgers' rotation is starting to get a little crowded again with the return of Clayton Kershaw (shoulder) and Tyler Glasnow (back) this week, but Knack's spot should be safe as long as he keeps producing quality outings. He's currently lined up to face the Padres next week.

Jack Suwinski RF | TB
Pirates' Jack Suwinski: Sitting against southpaw
Suwinski is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Cardinals.
The lefty-hitting Suwinski will take a seat while southpaw Matthew Liberatore takes the hill for the Cardinals. Michael Taylor will swap in for Suwinski in center field.
