Luis Arraez 2B | PHI
Giants' Luis Arraez: Finishes double shy of cycle
Arraez went 3-for-4 with a solo home run and a triple in Tuesday's 8-2 loss to the Diamondbacks.
The light-hitting Arraez had a chance at the cycle but couldn't get it done, hitting a deep flyout to left field in the eighth inning. Matt Chapman 3B | SF
Giants' Matt Chapman: Dealing with abdominal strain
Chapman was diagnosed with an abdominal muscle strain following his removal from Tuesday's game against the Diamondbacks, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Chapman said the injury has been bothering him for about a month, but he aggravated it while making a barehanded play in the sixth inning and later had to come out of the game. He's scheduled to undergo an MRI on Wednesday to determine the severity of the strain, at which point the Giants will have a better idea of whether he'll need a stint on the IL. With Willy Adames (back) also dealing with an injury, the Giants are thin on infielders and will likely make a roster move before Wednesday's contest to add depth.

Landen Roupp SP | SF
Giants' Landen Roupp: Pulled early Tuesday
Roupp (5-8) allowed six runs on five hits and six walks while striking out four over 2.2 innings to take the loss Tuesday versus the Diamondbacks.
Roupp lacked control -- the six walks represented a season high. This was his shortest outing of the season and guaranteed that he ended a second straight month winless. He has gone 0-7 across his last 11 starts, allowing four or more runs in six of them. Roupp has a 4.55 ERA, 1.37 WHIP and 99:40 K:BB through 89 innings over 17 starts this season. He's projected for a home start versus the Blue Jays in his next outing.

Marte went 2-for-5 with a solo home run and two additional RBI in Tuesday's 8-2 win over the Giants.
Marte's homer streak is at four games. They've all been solo shots, but he was able to supply a two-run single prior to his long ball Tuesday. Marte is batting .265 with an .806 OPS, 53 RBI, 47 runs scored, 17 doubles, two triples and one stolen base over 81 contests. He has racked up 49 of his RBI out of the leadoff spot, ranking third in the majors behind James Wood (52) and Shohei Ohtani (50) for RBI from atop the order.

Lourdes Gurriel LF | ARI
Diamondbacks' Lourdes Gurriel: Blasts three-run homer
Gurriel went 2-for-5 with a three-run home run and a double in Tuesday's 8-2 win over the Giants.
Gurriel has gone 8-for-25 (.320) with six RBI over his last six games. He's logged four doubles in that span, but the homer Tuesday was his first since May 17, before he sustained a hamstring injury. Gurriel is now batting .226 with a .603 OPS, two homers, 19 RBI, nine runs scored, eight doubles and one stolen base over 36 contests this season. He's settled in as the primary designated hitter since Max Kepler returned from an 80-game suspension to take over a platoon role in left field.

Brenton Doyle CF | CHW
Rockies' Brenton Doyle: Scratched with groin tightness
Doyle (oblique) was scratched from a rehab appearance with Triple-A Albuquerque on Tuesday due to groin tightness, MLB.com reports.
Doyle had made four rehab appearances prior to the new injury, collecting four hits across 16 at-bats. The extent of the groin issue is unclear, though it's likely to push back Doyle's potential return by at least a couple of days.

Brandon Pfaadt SP | ARI
Diamondbacks' Brandon Pfaadt: Positive showing in win
Pfaadt (1-1) allowed one run on three hits and a walk while striking out two over 5.1 innings to earn the win over the Giants on Tuesday.
Pfaadt had a good game, and he likely had some more left in the tank after throwing just 66 pitches (42 strikes). He had been stretching back out at Triple-A Reno after a stint in the Diamondbacks' bullpen following his shaky start to the season. The right-hander is now at a 5.40 ERA, 1.41 WHIP and 33:18 K:BB through 43.1 innings over 14 appearances (four starts) in the majors this season. Pfaadt is tentatively scheduled for a road start in San Diego if he gets another turn through the rotation.

Matt Chapman 3B | SF
Giants' Matt Chapman: Lifted with leg injury
Chapman was removed from Tuesday's game against Arizona with an apparent right leg injury, Justice delos Santos of The San Jose Mercury News reports.
Chapman seemingly tweaked his right leg while making a play in the field to end the sixth inning, and he had trouble running to first base during his at-bat in the seventh. It's unknown whether the 33-year-old will have to miss additional games, but the Giants may have more details on the severity of his injury after the game.
