Chavez (2-2) picked up the win Tuesday, allowing one hit over three scoreless innings of relief in a 12-0 victory over the Nationals. He struck out three without walking a batter.

The 41-year-old righty took the mound to begin the second inning after Reynaldo Lopez (shoulder) was removed from the game. Chavez has been erratic in the second half, posting a 5.28 ERA, 1.50 WHIP and 14:5 K:BB through 15.1 innings since the beginning of August, and Chavez's low-leverage, middle-relief role gives him minimal fantasy upside. Should Lopez miss any starts to close out the regular season, Chavez isn't likely to be considered as a rotation replacement, other than as part of a bullpen day.

Mitchell went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Tuesday's win over the Giants.

Mitchell led off the sixth with a solo home run off Tristan Beck that proved to be the difference in Tuesday's win. He now has nine hits in eight starts since Aug. 29, with six of those hits going for extra bases, leading to a .742 slugging percentage and 1.095 OPS over that span. For the year, Mitchell is slashing .252/.339/.437 with five homers, 14 RBI, 24 runs, seven steals and a 19:54 BB:K in 171 plate appearances.

Hoerner went 3-for-4 with a double and an RBI in Tuesday's win over the Dodgers.

Hoerner tallied his fifth multi-hit effort over his last nine games and has now notched at least one hit in 12 of his last 15 games. Hoerner lacks power but remains one of the Cubs' most consistent hitters and leads the team with 28 stolen bases. For the year, he's slashing .263/.330/.356 with five homers, 42 RBI, 76 runs and a 41:63 BB:K in 576 plate appearances.

Edwards is not in the lineup for Wednesday's contest versus the Pirates.

Edwards is getting a second consecutive day off for. He isn't dealing with any known injury, so Edwards may just be getting a couple days to hit the reset button after posting a .433 OPS in seven games since returning from the injured list. Otto Lopez will start at shortstop in Wednesday's series finale.

Conine is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Pirates.

With southpaw Bailey Falter toeing the rubber for Pittsburgh, the lefty-hitting Conine will retreat to the bench for the series finale. Conine had started in left or right field in each of the last five games, going 4-for-18 with two walks against nine strikeouts.

Suzuki went 3-for-5 with a double, an RBI and a run scored in Tuesday's win over the Dodgers.

Since Aug. 21, Suzuki is batting .333/.422/.538 with three homers, nine RBI 15 runs scored and four steals. He currently leads the Cubs in average, on-base percentage and slugging percentage, as he's slashing .273/.349/.475 with 19 homers, 65 RBI, 67 runs, 14 steals and a 50:145 BB:K in 521 plate appearances.

Norby (foot) will start at third base and bat leadoff in Wednesday's game in Pittsburgh.

Norby was scratched from Tuesday's lineup with lingering left foot soreness as a result of a foul ball off the foot in Monday's game. He checked out fine and is back in the lineup for Wednesday's series finale.

Muncy went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Tuesday's loss to the Cubs.

Muncy took Shota Imanaga deep in the fifth for his second home run over the last three game. He nearly had a two-run homer in the ninth with the Dodgers down three runs, but Pete Crow-Armstrong reached over the wall and made a web gem catch to rob Muncy and end the game. Muncy has now reached base six times over the last four games while posting a 3:2 BB:K. For the year, he's hitting .228/.339/.497 with 13 homers, 38 RBI, 35 runs and a 32:66 BB:K in 230 plate appearances.

Edman went 2-for-4 with two solo home runs in Tuesday's loss to the Cubs.

Edman went deep off Shota Imanaga in each of his first two at-bats after having zero homers in 71 at-bats coming into the game. Edman now has multiple hits in three of his last four games and is slashing .293/.316/.427 with five extra-base hits, nine RBI, 10 runs, five steals and a 3:15 BB:K in 79 plate appearances this season.

Hodge picked up the save in Tuesday's 6-3 win over the Dodgers, working around a walk to pitch a scoreless ninth inning.

The game ended on what would have been a two-run homer by Max Muncy had Pete Crow-Armstrong not timed his jump perfectly to snag the ball over the wall on a highlight reel catch. With that, Hodge secured his fifth save of the year and fourth since Aug. 20. He has continued to be a reliable high-leverage option for the Cubs and is now up to 14 straight scoreless appearances while giving up only five hits in 15 innings over that span. For the year, he owns a 1.66 ERA, 0.89 WHIP and 46:17 K:BB in 38 innings.
