Chapman went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 13-2 win over the Brewers.

Chapman has gone 17-for-49 (.347) with four homers, two stolen bases and 10 RBI over his last 14 games. The third baseman's long ball Wednesday gave the Giants their 10th run, and he later exited the blowout win to get some well-earned rest. Chapman is up to 24 homers, 73 RBI, 93 runs scored, 15 steals and a .251/.334/.456 slash line over 142 contests.

Tatis went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Wednesday's loss to Seattle.

Tatis put the Padres on the board with a solo shot to left field in the seventh inning. He didn't homer in any of his first six games after returning from the injured list Sept. 2, but he's now gone deep in two straight contests. Since recovering from a stress reaction in his right femur and rejoining San Diego, Tatis is slashing .242/.242/.485 with the two long balls, five RBI, five runs and a 0:9 BB:K.

Atlanta optioned Tromp to Triple-A Gwinnett on Thursday.

Tromp was up with Atlanta for the club's last three games while Travis d'Arnaud (personal) was away from the team on paternity leave, but Tromp will head back to the minors now that d'Arnaud has been reinstated to the 28-man active roster. Atlanta didn't use Tromp during his abbreviated stay with the big club, as Sean Murphy started all three games at catcher.

D'Arnaud will rejoin Atlanta ahead of its four-game home series against the Dodgers that begins Friday after he missed each of the team's three games earlier this week while welcoming a new addition to his family. Atlanta optioned No. 3 catcher Chadwick Tromp to Triple-A Gwinnett to clear room on the 28-man active roster for d'Arnaud.

Contreras (finger) will be re-evaluated Monday as the Cardinals plan out his potential return, John Denton of MLB.com reports.

Contreras had the splint on his fractured right middle finger removed a week ago and should be cleared to increase activities Monday. There's not much time for him to ramp things back up, but Contreras could make it back for the final week or so of the season if all goes well.

Rosario is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Cardinals.

After a recent stretch of 10 starts in an 11-game span, Rosario now finds himself on the bench for the second straight day, with both absences coming against right-handed pitchers. Though Rosario looked to be gaining traction as the Reds' primary designated hitter, the team has seemingly pulled the plug on using him as an everyday player while he's managed a lowly .184/.216/.245 slash line since being claimed off waivers from the Dodgers on Aug. 18. The Reds may instead prefer to rotate a number of players at the DH spot rather than giving consistent at-bats to the struggling Rosario.

Ohtani went 2-for-4 with a home run, three RBI, a walk and a stolen base in Wednesday's win over the Cubs.

Ohtani wasted no time in getting the Dodgers on the board, launching a 405-foot leadoff homer off Jordan Wicks in the opening frame. The superstar slugger would then draw a leadoff walk in the second before going on to swipe his 48th bag of the campaign, and he later added a two-run single in the third to extend the Dodgers' lead. Ohtani has now recorded multiple hits in four of his last six games, batting .333 (8-for-24) over that stretch with three homers, five RBI and five runs scored. He's also gone deep five times over his last 12 contests.

Romo is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Tigers.

Romo has now picked up just two starts in the Rockies' last seven games. With Jacob Stallings and Hunter Goodman also on hand as options at catcher, Romo is unlikely to see steady enough playing time over the final two weeks of the season to make for a reliable fantasy option, even in NL-only leagues.

Edman went 2-for-5 with two homers and four RBI in Wednesday's win over the Cubs.

Edman jumped on the first pitch he saw from Jordan Wicks in the opening frame and sent it into the stands for a two-run shot, putting the Dodgers up 3-2. The infielder would later add a second two-run shot in the eighth to once again extend the lead, marking his second consecutive two-homer performance. Edman has hit safely in each of his last five contests while logging multiple hits in four straight. He's now batting .325 (13-for-40) in September with four long balls, 10 RBI and seven runs scored.

Pages is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Reds.

Pages will get a breather while the Cardinals and Reds wrap up their series with a day game after a night game. Ivan Herrera will draw the start behind the plate for St. Louis.
