Kiner-Falefa went 3-for-5 with an RBI single and two runs during Sunday's 4-3 win over the Royals.

Kiner-Falefa participated in three of the Pirates' four runs Sunday, notching his seventh game this season with at least three hits. The utility player has one homer, six stolen bases and a pair of triples in 39 games with the Pirates. He's 11-for-32 (.296) during his last seven games.

Barnes exited Sunday's contest with Atlanta in the fifth inning with a left big toe contusion.

Barnes was forced to the leave the game before his second at-bat with a familiar injury. The catcher had a fracture in the same toe in August, and it's unclear how long he could be unavailable for. Will Smith replaced him behind the plate and will continue to get the lion's share of work at catcher moving forward.

Chapman picked up the save Sunday against Kansas City, striking out one during a perfect ninth inning.

Chapman has emerged as the Pirates' closer, and while he's gone five for six in save chances since Aug. 31, the 36-year-old has yielded six runs across 6.1 innings. Overall, Chapman has a 4.11 ERA with nine saves and a 5-5 record.

Taylor went 1-for-3 with a solo home run during Sunday's 2-1 loss to the Phillies.

Taylor provided an equalizing solo home run in the eighth inning off Cristopher Sanchez. The long ball was Taylor's seventh of the season, and his first since July 24 (40 games). On the year, he's slashing .239/.288/.389 across 302 plate appearances.

Diaz took the loss Sunday against the Phillies, allowing one run on two hits and no walks with two strikeouts across two-thirds of an inning.

Diaz took the mound in the ninth inning with the game tied 1-1 but couldn't push the game into extra innings. Nick Castellanos logged a one-out single and then stole second base on a strike three to Alec Bohm. J.T. Realmuto provided the game-winning hit with a single to center field. The outing snapped a scoreless inning streak of 7.1 frames for Diaz. The 30-year-old closer has 18 saves and a 3.74 ERA across 45.2 innings.

Peterson didn't factor into the decision Sunday against Philadelphia, allowing one run on four hits and a walk across 7.2 innings. He struck out six.

Peterson and Cristopher Sanchez were locked into a pitchers' duel Sunday, but neither was credited with the victory. Peterson yielded five runs (four earned) in his previous start after yielding two or fewer earned runs in seven consecutive outings. Since the start of August, Peterson is 4-1 with a 2.22 ERA and a 46:17 K:BB across 56.2 innings.

Sanchez didn't factor into the decision Sunday against New York, allowing one run on six hits and a walk across seven-plus innings. He struck out seven.

Sanchez threw seven shutout innings before returning to the mound to start the eighth frame. He yielded a leadoff homer to Tyrone Taylor and a single to Harrison Bader to start the eighth before being removed. Sanchez has struck out seven or more batters in four of his last five starts and has generated a quality start in five of his last six outings. He's tentatively scheduled for a rematch with the Mets next weekend.

Wood went 2-for-3 with two solo home runs during Sunday's 4-3 win over the Marlins.

Wood belted a pair of solo home runs Sunday, marking the rookie's first-career multi-home run game. In his last 17 games, the outfielder is 17-for-67 with six RBI, nine runs and five stolen bases. On the year, he's slashing .273/.364/.429 across 280 plate appearances.

Bride went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional run scored during Sunday's 4-3 loss to the Nationals.

Bride notched his seventh long ball of the season, taking Eduardo Salazar yard in the seventh inning. Bride has generated a hit in eight of his last nine games, going 11-for-33 (.333) with two home runs, six runs and five RBI during that stretch.

Oller (1-4) took the loss Sunday against Washington, allowing three runs on six hits and two walks across five innings. He struck out two.

Oller blanked the Nationals through three innings but surrendered four consecutive hits in the fourth frame as part of a two-run inning. Then, James Wood tagged Oller for a solo shot in the fifth. Oller has taken the loss in three consecutive starts, yielding 13 runs with a 10:10 K:BB across 15.1 innings. He's on track to face Atlanta next time out.
