Atlanta reinstated Lopez (shoulder) from the 15-day injured list ahead of his start Saturday versus the Royals.

After spending 17 days on the injured list due to right shoulder inflammation, Lopez will return in time to make one final start before the end of the regular season. Manager Brian Snitker said Friday that the right-hander won't be working under a pitch/inning restriction once he returns, and Lopez has a favorable matchup on paper against a Royals offense that carries just a .583 OPS since the start of September. John Brebbia was optioned to Triple-A Gwinnett in a corresponding move.

McCutchen isn't in Pittsburgh's lineup Saturday versus the Yankees.

McCutchen is 0-for-11 with four strikeouts over his last three games, and he'll now get a chance to rest while Bryan Reynolds serves as the Pirates' DH and Billy Cook starts in left field.

De La Cruz isn't in the Pirates' lineup for Saturday's game against the Yankees.

After going 0-for-3 with a walk and two strikeouts in Friday's series opener, De La Cruz will sit down for the penultimate game of the regular season while Joshua Palacios takes over in right field.

Bart isn't in the Pirates' lineup for Saturday's game against the Yankees.

After tallying six hits over his last five games, Bart will take a seat Saturday against Luis Gil and company. Yasmani Grandal will start behind the dish while batting seventh.

Doyle went 0-for-2 with a walk and a stolen base in Friday's 11-4 loss to the Dodgers.

It was hardly an impressive effort, but Doyle's fourth-inning pilfer was his 30th of the season. The 26-year-old has put together a breakout campaign, slashing .260/.317/.446 through 149 games with 23 homers, 72 RBI and 82 runs in addition to his 30-for-35 performance on the basepaths. He's also shaved nearly 10 points off his strikeout rate, dropping from 35.0 percent last year to 25.4 percent. Doyle heads into 2025 as one of the centerpieces of the Rockies' offense.

Quantrill (8-11) took the loss Friday, coughing up six runs on seven hits and two walks over 3.1 innings as the Rockies were routed 11-4 by the Dodgers. He failed to strike out a batter.

A two-run homer by Teoscar Hernandez in the first inning and a solo shot by Andy Pages in the fourth were the big blows off Quantrill, as the right-hander saw his season end with his worst outing since July 30. His first campaign with the Rockies was predictably turbulent, but Quantrill gave the team 29 starts and 148.1 innings while posting a 4.98 ERA, 1.52 WHIP and 110:69 K:BB. He's headed for a raise this offseason in his final year of arbitration eligibility, so it's possible Colorado attempts to move him rather than pay him what could be eight figures to fill a rotation spot.

Hernandez went 3-for-5 with a two-run home run and a stolen base in Friday's 11-4 win over the Rockies.

He got the rout started by taking Cal Quantrill deep in the first inning. Since missing a handful of games earlier this month with an ankle injury, Hernandez has been locked in, slashing .321/.410/.604 over his last 14 contests with four homers, two steals, nine RBI and 10 runs. The 31-year-old also tied his career high Friday with his 32nd long ball of the year, and he has two more games at Coors Field to try and establish a new personal best.

Ohtani went 4-for-5 with a double, a home run, two runs scored, four RBI and a stolen base in Friday's 11-4 win over the Rockies.

While he took full advantage of a game at Coors Field with his bat, it was Ohtani's second-inning steal that allowed him to claim another record. With 57 pilfers on the season, Ohtani became the new single-season leader among Japanese-born players, topping the 56 steals recorded by future Hall of Famer Ichiro Suzuki in his 2001 AL Rookie of the Year and MVP campaign. The rest of Ohtani's numbers aren't too shabby either -- with two games left on the Dodgers' regular-season schedule, he's slashing .309/.390/.651 with 54 homers, 130 RBI and 133 runs. Luis Arraez's .314 batting average is all that's standing between Ohtani and a Triple Crown season.

Casparius (2-0) picked up the win Friday, giving up two runs (one earned) on six hits and two walks over 4.1 relief innings in an 11-4 victory over the Rockies. He struck out seven.

Making only his third career big-league appearance, the 25-year-old right-hander took the mound at Coors Field after opener Ryan Brasier worked the first inning. Casparius wasn't daunted by the environment, tossing 55 of 85 pitches for strikes and setting a new career high in strikeouts. While he's unlikely to play a big role in the postseason for the Dodgers, Casparius may have put himself in the team's pitching plans for 2025. Between Double-A Tulsa and Triple-A Oklahoma City this year, the 2021 fifth-round pick posted a 3.35 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 106:46 K:BB through 88.2 innings before providing Los Angeles with a 2.16 ERA, 1.56 WHIP and 12:4 K:BB in 8.1 September frames.

Hoerner went 2-for-3 with a double and a run scored in Friday's 1-0 win over the Reds.

Hoerner helped manufacture the only run of the contest when he doubled to lead off the bottom of the fifth, then got bunted over to third before coming home on a sacrifice fly. The speedy infielder has three straight multi-hit performances, and over his last 10 games, he's slashing a sizzling .486/.526/.743 with two home runs, five RBI and nine runs scored.
