Arenado isn't in the Cardinals' lineup for Saturday's game against the Giants, John Denton of MLB.com reports.

Arenado has gone 9-for-25 with two RBI and three runs scored during his six-game hitting streak, but he'll take a seat Saturday for the second time in St. Louis' last three games. Thomas Saggese will get an opportunity to start at third base while batting seventh.

Hays isn't in Philadelphia's lineup for Saturday's game against the Nationals due to back soreness, Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports.

The Phillies' training staff is still in the process of evaluating Hays, but his back will cause him to miss at least Saturday's game. While Hays rests, Weston Wilson will step in as the left fielder and bat eighth.

Stowers isn't in Miami's lineup for Saturday's game against Toronto.

Stowers will take a seat for the Marlins' penultimate game after going 0-for-13 with seven strikeouts over his last five contests. His absence will open a spot in center field for Dane Myers to start while batting seventh.

Lopez isn't in the Marlins' lineup for Saturday's game against the Blue Jays.

Although Lopez has gone 8-for-18 and scored five runs during his five-game hitting streak, the Marlins will sit him down Saturday while Javier Sanoja picks up a start at the keystone.

Fortes isn't in the Marlins' lineup for Saturday's game against Toronto.

Fortes went 0-for-4 during Friday's series opener and will now hand catching duties over to Jhonny Pereda, who will bat ninth.

Suzuki (ankle) will serve as the Cubs' designated hitter and bat fourth Saturday against the Reds.

Suzuki sprained his ankle during Tuesday's game against Philadelphia, but he'll now return to the starting nine following a two-game absence. The 30-year-old has been extremely hot at the plate recently, recording a hit in 13 of his last 14 games while slashing .364/.462/.545 in that span.

Paredes isn't in the Cubs' lineup for Saturday's game against the Reds.

Paredes will catch a breather Saturday after going 6-for-16 with an RBI and two runs scored across his last four games. Patrick Wisdom will pick up a start at the hot corner and bat eighth.

The Pirates recalled Burrows from Triple-A Indianapolis on Saturday.

Burrows has spent nearly the entire season with Indianapolis, posting a 4.06 ERA and 1.42 WHIP across 37.2 innings. Although he was used primarily as a starter, he'll most likely be used in a multi-inning role out of the bullpen with Pittsburgh. If he's able to get into one of the team's final two regular-season games, the 24-year-old righty will be making his MLB debut.

The Pirates optioned Jones to the Florida Complex League on Saturday.

Jones' season was already over after he made his final start of the season Friday, so the Pirates will simply send him to their complex in Florida to finish the season, opening up a roster spot for Mike Burrows in the process. The 23-year-old Jones will finish his rookie campaign with a 4.14 ERA and 1.19 WHIP alongside a 132:39 K:BB across 22 starts.

Atlanta optioned Brebbia to Triple-A Gwinnett on Saturday.

After signing with Atlanta on Sept. 1, Brebbia surrendered two earned runs across 6.2 innings over five appearances -- a strong turnaround from the 6.29 ERA he held while with the White Sox. Despite his improvement, he'll be sent back to the minors in order to make room for Reynaldo Lopez (shoulder), who was activated off the injured list to start Saturday against Kansas City.
