Chaparro went 3-for-4 with a three-run home run, double, and two additional runs scored in Wednesday's 6-0 win over the Rangers.

Chaparro now has four three-RBI games since the All-Star break as he is playing more at first base since Luis Garcia was traded to the Yankees. The Nationals took a 6-0 lead after Chaparro launched a no-doubter to left off Peyton Gray in the seventh inning. The 27-year-old Chaparro is crushing it at the plate since the All-Star break with a 1.182 OPS, seven home runs, 17 runs, and 25 RBI in 25 games.

Tena went 2-for-3 with a solo home run and an additional run scored in Wednesday's win over the Rangers.

Tena kicked off the scoring with a solo shot to straightaway center field in the third inning off righty Kumar Rocker. Tena sees most of his action as a designated hitter but got his second start of the season in left field Wednesday. The 25-year-old is slashing .233/.304/.393 with seven homers and 20 RBI in 206 at-bats this year against righties, against whom he gets most of his opportunities.

Cavalli (11-5) earned the win Wednesday against the Rangers, allowing no runs on three hits and one walk while striking out 11 over six innings.

Cavalli secured his second straight game with double-digit strikeouts and his eighth consecutive quality start while retiring the final 11 batters he faced. The righty is now 7-1 in his last 10 starts, giving up just 14 earned runs to lower his season ERA to 3.22 and WHIP to 1.22 alongside a 162:42 K:BB in 142.2 innings. The 28-year-old lines up for a favorable matchup next week at home against the Rockies.

Ortiz went 2-for-3 with a home run and four RBI in Wednesday's 7-5 loss to the Mariners.

Ortiz provided most of the Brewers' offense, driving in the team's first four runs over three plate appearances. The 28-year-old has now hit safely in six of his past seven games, tallying two home runs, eight RBI and seven runs scored during that stretch. For the season, he's slashing .252/.318/.383 with seven homers, 37 RBI, 36 runs scored and eight steals across 312 plate appearances.

Lowe went 1-for-3 with a solo home run, two walks and two runs scored Wednesday against the Tigers.

Lowe capped a dramatic win for Pittsburgh on Wednesday, blasting a walk-off home run against Kenley Jansen in the ninth inning. That marked the second baseman's fourth long ball of August, though he's also struck out at a 38.2 percent clip while hitting just .229 across 18 games. Lowe now has 27 homers on the season and has also reached 80 RBI for a second consecutive campaign.

May (6-8) took the loss against the Mariners on Wednesday, allowing seven runs on seven hits and two walks with one strikeout over two innings.

May allowed an average exit velocity of just 76.9 mph, but he lacked command and generated only two whiffs while needing 66 pitches to complete just two innings. It ended a hot stretch for the 28-year-old, who entered the game having allowed four earned runs over his previous four outings, including quality starts in each of his first two appearances with his new club. He owns a 4.57 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 118:42 K:BB across 124 innings with the Brewers and Cardinals this season and will aim to rebound in a road matchup with the Mets next week.

Stewart went 1-for-3 with a three-run home run and a walk in Wednesday's 5-4 win over the Cardinals.

Stewart has now hit safely in 15 of his 18 outings in the month of August. JJ Wetherholt may be the favorite for the 2026 National League Rookie of the Year Award, but Stewart is making a strong case as well. He's slashing .259/.334/.476 with 27 homers, 24 doubles, 94 RBI and 12 stolen bases over 548 trips to the plate.

Pagan secured the save Wednesday against the Cardinals, allowing two runs on two hits and no walks in the ninth inning.

Pagan needed every bit of the three-run lead he was afforded, serving up a two-run home run to Jordan Walker. The veteran right-hander has established a fairly strong hold on the Reds' closer role, as Wednesday marked the first time he's been scored upon since July 19 in Colorado. He's turned his season around in a big way since coming off the injured list, producing a 2.35 ERA, 0.78 WHIP and 20:3 K:BB with 10 saves in as many opportunities over 15.1 innings since the start of July.

Liberatore (5-11) took the loss against the Reds on Wednesday, allowing three runs on four hits and no walks in six innings. He struck out nine.

It was a bit of a hard-luck loss for Liberatore, who delivered a quality start and matched his second-highest strikeout total of the year. August has arguably been the southpaw's best month so far, as he's worked to a 4.03 ERA, 0.90 WHIP and 25:4 K:BB in 22.1 innings (four starts). Liberatore will take a season-long 5.04 ERA, 1.44 WHIP and 125:44 K:BB over 125 innings into his next scheduled outing against Baltimore.

Burns took a no-decision against the Cardinals on Wednesday, allowing two runs on six hits and two walks in five innings. He struck out eight.

Burns labored a bit Wednesday, needing 104 pitches to complete five innings, but he recorded at least six punchouts for a fourth consecutive start. The hard-throwing right-hander has been incredibly consistent to this point, working at least five frames in all 24 outings while conceding more than two runs just four times. Burns is set to take an outstanding 2.51 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 159:48 K:BB over 136 innings into a soft matchup with the lowly Giants.
