  • Mets' Jonathan Pintaro: Hits shelf at Triple-A

Triple-A Syracuse placed Pintaro on its 7-day injured list Friday due to an unspecified injury. Pintaro may have sustained the injury in his most recent appearance Wednesday, when he covered two innings out of the bullpen in one of the Mets' doubleheader games versus the Cubs. The right-hander had been serving as the Mets' 27th man for the twin bill and was returned to Syracuse a day later.

  • Mets' Jonathan Pintaro: Returned to Triple-A

The Mets returned Pintaro to Triple-A Syracuse on Thursday. Pintaro was added to the active roster as the 27th man for Wednesday's doubleheader against the Cubs, and he'll return to Syracuse now that his services are no longer required by the big club. The 28-year-old righty has given up seven earned runs in 12.1 innings with the Mets this season.

  • Mets' Jonathan Pintaro: Added as 27th man

The Mets recalled Pintaro from Triple-A Syracuse on Wednesday, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports. Pintaro will serve as the 27th man during Wednesday's doubleheader against the Cubs. The right-hander has pitched well when given a chance by the big club, allowing three runs with a 9:1 K:BB over 10.1 innings. Pintaro will likely be sent back down following the twin bill.

  • Mets' Jonathan Pintaro: Sent back to Triple-A

The Mets optioned Pintaro to Triple-A Syracuse on Tuesday. Pintaro's stay with the big club lasted just one day, with the right-hander striking out four batters and giving up two earned runs on three hits over 3.2 innings of relief in Monday's 12-0 loss to the Reds. He gave up his spot on the Mets' active roster to right-hander Kodai Senga (spine), who was reinstated from the 15-day injured list ahead of his start Tuesday.

  • Mets' Jonathan Pintaro: Back with big club

The Mets recalled Pintaro from Triple-A Syracuse on Monday. He's a candidate to soak up some innings out of the bullpen in Monday's game against the Reds behind starting pitcher Tobias Myers, who isn't fully stretched out. Pintaro has been sharp in three previous relief outings with the Mets this season, yielding just one run and one hit with a 5:1 K:BB across 6.2 frames.

  • Mets' Jonathan Pintaro: Heading back to minors

The Mets optioned Pintaro to Triple-A Syracuse on Thursday. Pintaro helped save the bullpen in his lone day with the big club, allowing one run over three innings in Wednesday's loss to the Cardinals. He wasn't going to be available for at least a day or two, however, so the Mets will replace him with a fresh bullpen arm in Daniel Duarte.

  • Mets' Jonathan Pintaro: Recalled from Triple-A

The Mets recalled Pintaro from Triple-A Syracuse on Wednesday. Pintaro made two scoreless appearances with the Mets earlier this season and holds a 3.16 ERA and 38:13 K:BB over 31.1 innings with Syracuse. The former starting pitcher is capable of covering multiple innings for the Mets, if needed.

  • Mets' Jonathan Pintaro: Sent back to minors

The Mets optioned Pintaro to Triple-A Syracuse on Thursday. • Mets' Jonathan Pintaro: Moves up to big leagues

The Mets selected Pintaro's contract from Double-A Binghamton on Wednesday. A 27-year-old righty who went undrafted out of Division II Shorter University in 2022, Pintaro made a rapid ascent to the big leagues after he had been pitching in independent ball in Montana a year ago before signing a minor-league deal with the Mets last June. He's thrived while pitching out of the rotation with Binghamton in 2025, turning in a 3.40 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 57:15 K:BB across 42.1 innings. Pintaro will work in long relief for the Mets initially, though he could garner consideration for a starting role with the big club at some point if a rotation spot opens up.
