Gorman went 3-for-4 with a solo home run and three runs scored in Sunday's 9-2 win over the Twins.

Making his first start of the season, Gorman singled in each of his first two plate appearances before taking reliever Randy Dobnak deep with a 409-foot blast in his final trip to the dish. Gorman got the start at second base in this one, with Brendan Donovan shifting to left field, Lars Nootbaar moving to right field and Jordan Walker getting a day off. The 24-year-old Gorman is in a fight for playing time early on in the season, and big days like he had Sunday will certainly help his chances of earning more reps.

Diaz (hamstring) is working with coaches on his mechanics, C. Trent Rosecrans of The Athletic reports.

Apparently, the hamstring injury impacted the reliever's mechanics, which led to command and control issues. "Stability with his front leg is probably the biggest thing," Cincinnati manager Terry Francona said of Diaz. "Then, incorporating that into his delivery, where that becomes comfortable and almost second nature." It's uncertain when Diaz will be ready to rejoin the team, or if he'll automatically resume his role as the team's closer.

Lowder (forearm) is throwing off a mound in Arizona, C. Trent Rosecrans of The Athletic reports.

After missing all of spring training with a forearm strain, Lowder has taken the next steps in his recovery. He was scheduled to throw again Sunday and will continue to ramp up. The right-hander may eventually pitch in the majors this season, but Lowder is expected to begin 2025 at Triple-A Louisville.

Stephenson (oblique) underwent an MRI last Wednesday that showed his injury was 80 percent healed, C. Trent Rosecrans of The Athletic reports.

Stephenson is scheduled to undergo a second MRI while the Reds on the road -- the trip runs from April 3 to 9 -- and there are no plans for him to travel with the club. In the meantime, Jose Trevino and Austin Wynns will continue to serve as the team's catchers.

Lopez (illness) tossed a scoreless inning in his return to the mound Sunday against the Phillies.

Lopez was not available to pitch for the Nationals' first two games of the season due to illness, per Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com. He feels good now, though, needing just five pitches to dispose of the Phillies in order during his appearance Sunday.

Bogaerts went 1-for-3 with an RBI double and a run scored in Sunday's 5-0 victory over Atlanta.

Bogaerts extended San Diego's lead to 2-0 with his two-out double off AJ Smith-Shawver in the third inning. He'd later lead off the eighth with a walk before swiping second and scoring on a Brandon Lockridge double. It's been a solid start to the year for the 32-year-old Bogaerts -- he's now 3-for-11 with two doubles and two stolen bases through four games after slashing .264/.307/.381 with 11 home runs and 13 steals across 463 plate appearances in 2024.

McCutchen went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk Sunday against the Marlins.

McCutchen rested Saturday but returned to the lineup one day later. He also bumped up to the cleanup spot and delivered a solo home run -- his first long ball of the season -- to lead off the second inning. McCutchen has two hits across 11 at-bats but has struck out only once in the early going.

Martini went 3-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored Sunday against the Rays.

Maritni has served as Colorado's starting right fielder in all three games this season, with Sunday's being his most productive. He drove in his first run of the season with a single in the fifth inning, and he's now gone 4-for-9 with three strikeouts.

Moniak went 1-for-2 with a two-run home run Sunday against the Rays.

Moniak joined the Rockies on the eve of Opening Day and has yet to draw a start in three games. However, he made his debut as a pinch hitter in the seventh inning of Sunday's contest and delivered a two-run home run in his first plate appearance as a Rockie. Moniak could eventually take over as the team's starting right fielder, a position currently held by Nick Martini.

Tatis went 2-for-3 with a double, two walks, two runs, an RBI and a stolen base in a 5-0 win against Atlanta on Sunday.

Tatis extended his campaign-opening hitting streak to four games Sunday, and he's collected multiple knocks in two of those contests. The star outfielder also stole his third bag of the season, which is tied for second in the majors in the early going. Tatis had a bit of a down year last season with 21 homers and 11 thefts over 102 regular-season games, but he's capable of putting up MVP-level numbers and is off to a fast start to begin 2025.
