Glasnow (1-0) pitched five scoreless innings in a 6-1 win over Atlanta on Monday, allowing two hits and issuing three walks while striking out eight batters.

Glasnow didn't get his first start until the Dodgers' sixth game of the campaign due partly to the fact that over a week went by between the team's season-opening two-game set in Tokyo, Japan and its stateside opener in Los Angeles. Nonetheless, the right-hander looked like an ace in his 2025 debut, racking up 13 whiffs and eight punchouts while cruising through five scoreless frames. Atlanta didn't manage any extra-base hits off Glasnow and got just one runner to third base. Glasnow has had trouble avoiding injuries throughout his career, but if he can stay healthy, he'll be a vital part of Los Angeles' vaunted rotation.

Machado went 3-for-5 with a stolen base in Monday's 7-2 win against Cleveland.

Machado was removed early from Saturday's game against Atlanta due to calf tightness, but the issue doesn't seem to be bothering him, as he swiped second base in the fifth inning Monday. The veteran third baseman has been active on the basepaths in the early part of the season, as he now has three thefts in five contests. Machado notched a modest 11 stolen bases during the regular season last year, and that was the first time in three campaigns that he had reached the double-digit mark.

Sheets went 3-for-3 with two doubles, a walk, two runs and four RBI in Monday's 7-2 victory over the Guardians.

San Diego fell behind in the first inning on a Jose Ramirez solo home run, but Sheets gave the Padres the lead with his two-run double in the second. He added another two-run doublein the fifth, giving him four total RBI in the game. Sheets signed with San Diego on a minor-league deal in February and earned a spot on the team's Opening Day roster due to a standout spring training. He's been working as the Padres' primary designated hitter and is off to a fantastic start to the season, slashing .500/.533/.857 with a home run, three runs, five RBI and a stolen base through 15 plate appearances.

Hart (1-0) earned the win over Cleveland on Monday, allowing two runs on five hits and one walk while striking out four batters over five innings.

Hart's start was his first appearance in the majors since he pitched in four games for the Red Sox in 2020. The southpaw worked exclusively in the minors from 2021-2023, then spent last year with the NC Dinos in the KBO, where he pitched well enough to get another big-league look from San Diego. After earning a spot on the Padres' Opening Day roster and a slot in the team's rotation, Hart performed well in his season debut Monday, throwing 51 of 80 pitches for strikes and inducing 10 whiffs while lasting just long enough to pick up the victory. He did yield two homers, but both were of the solo variety, and those were the only runs he surrendered. Hart is next lined up to take on the Cubs this weekend.

Abrams went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Monday's 5-2 loss to Toronto.

Abrams spoiled Blue Jays right-hander Bowden Francis' no-hit bid in the sixth inning, going deep for the first time this season Monday. The 24-year-old infielder is slashing just .176/.222/.353 with two RBI and one stolen base across 17 at-bats (four games) thus far, but Abrams should still be a strong source of power and speed in 2025 after recording 20 homers and 31 steals in 138 outings a year ago.

Flores went 2-for-4 with a homer and four RBI in Monday's 7-2 victory over the Astros.

The 33-year-old drew his fourth consecutive start and anchored the Giants' offense as the designated hitter. Flores opened the game's scoring with an RBI single in the second inning. The veteran then cracked a 350-foot, three-run homer to the Crawford Boxes in the sixth inning to stretch the lead to 5-0. Through his first 16 plate appearances, Flores is slashing .267/.313/.867 with three homers and eight RBI.

Singer (1-0) yielded a hit and two walks over seven scoreless innings Monday, striking out eight and earning a win over Texas.

Singer was terrific in his Reds debut, tossing 57 of his 92 pitches for strikes and generating 15 whiffs despite averaging just 91 mph on his fastball. He allowed just one Ranger to reach scoring position and never faced much of a threat in the dominant outing. Singer has delivered mixed results in his MLB career, but he turned in a solid 3.71 ERA over 179.2 regular-season frames in 2024. He followed that up with a 2.55 ERA and a 21:7 K:BB through 17.2 innings this spring. Singer's next start is projected to be in Milwaukee this weekend.

McLain went 2-for-3 with a home run, three RBI, four runs scored and a walk in Monday's win over the Rangers.

McLain knocked a two-run homer in the first inning, wasting no time going deep for a third consecutive game. He's now 5-for-16 with four extra-base hits and seven runs scored through four games. McLain posted an impressive .864 OPS as a rookie in 2023 but missed the entire 2024 campaign due to shoulder and rib injuries. It's worth noting that all four of his starts have been at second base after he spent some time in the outfield during the Arizona Fall League in 2024.

Hicks (1-0) earned the win Monday versus Houston, striking out six over six scoreless innings. He allowed one hit and two walks.

After a rough Cactus League performance in which Hicks yielded a 5.19 ERA and 1.33 WHIP with 11:5 K:BB over 17.1 innings, the Houston native stymied the Astros over 72 pitches. Hicks threw his patented sinker 48 times and averaged 98.0 mph on the pitch, up significantly from 94.5 mph last season. This performance put to bed any possibility of the 28-year-old being demoted to the bullpen for the time being. Hicks currently lines up to make his next outing against the Mariners at home this weekend.

Nootbaar went 2-for-3 with a solo homer, a walk and an additional run scored in Monday's 5-4 loss to the Angels.

The St. Louis left fielder opened the game's scoring with his sixth career leadoff homer, launching it 365 feet to right field. Nootbaar entered the contest as a career .266/.365/.465 hitter in the leadoff spot, which he should continue to occupy for the foreseeable future. The 27-year-old could be poised for a solid season so long as he can stay on the field, as he has surpassed the 500 plate appearance mark just once in his previous four seasons due to injuries.
