The Dodgers placed Snell on the 15-day injured list Sunday due to left shoulder inflammation.

According to Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times, Snell completed a bullpen session Sunday and informed the Los Angeles training staff afterward that his shoulder was bothering him. Rather than reassessing Snell in a few days and seeing if the inflammation dissipates, the Dodgers will send him to the IL, making him ineligible to pitch again for the big club until April 18. The Dodgers recalled right-hander Matt Sauer from Triple-A Oklahoma City to provide coverage in the bullpen in the short term, but Snell's absence means that the team will need to break in a new rotation member Tuesday in Washington.

Burleson is out of the lineup for the first game of Sunday's doubleheader versus Boston, Katie Woo of The Athletic reports.

Lefty Sean Newcomb is taking the mound for the Red Sox, so Burleson will hit the bench as he and Luken Baker continue to work in a platoon at designated hitter.

Kiner-Falefa is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Yankees.

Kiner-Falefa will get his first day off this season after slashing .321/.424/.321 with four stolen bases, three runs and an RBI through Pittsburgh's first nine games. Jared Triolo will fill in for Kiner-Falefa at shortstop and as the Pirates' No. 9 hitter.

Donovan is out of the lineup for the first game of Sunday's doubleheader against the Red Sox, Katie Woo of The Athletic reports.

Donovan started the first eight contests of the season and batted .267 (8-for-30) with two homers and six RBI, but he'll take a seat for the opener of the twin bill. Prospect Thomas Saggese will man the keystone and bat seventh in the matinee.

Rodriguez is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Yankees.

Saturday's appearance was the first in the United States for Made, who will be 17 years old for another month. Big things are expected from the youngster, who owns a prominent spot on most top-100 prospect lists and is already considered by some to be the top prospect in Milwaukee's ranks.

Pham (illness) will start in left field and bat seventh Sunday against the Yankees.

Pham was out of the lineup for Saturday's 10-4 loss due to an illness that resulted in him being pulled early in Friday's game, but he was still healthy enough to make two plate appearances off the bench. The 37-year-old has seemingly experienced no setbacks in his recovery and will take back his normal spot in the outfield in the series finale.

Misiorowski tossed 3.2 scoreless, no-hit innings of relief for Triple-A Nashville on Saturday. He struck out four and walked four.

The 23-year-old righty's second outing of the season looked a lot like his first, when he allowed one hit over five scoreless frames while recording a 7:3 K:BB in a start. Misiorowski -- one of Milwaukee's top pitching prospects -- has proven he can miss bats, posting a 12.6 career K/9 rate in the minors. He also owns a 5.8 BB/9 rate, however. Misiorowski figures to make his big-league debut at some point this season, but the Brewers are still hoping to see him display better control, and that could determine whether or not they give him a chance to start or use him out of the bullpen at the top level.

The Pirates recalled Shugart from Triple-A Indianapolis on Sunday.

He'll join the big-league bullpen as a replacement for Colin Holderman (knee), who was placed on the 15-day injured list Sunday. Shugart, who made his big-league debut with Boston in 2024, is likely to work in lower-leverage spots.

Pittsburgh recalled right-hander Chase Shugart from Triple-A Indianapolis to replace Holderman in the bullpen. After the Pirates surprisingly optioned David Bednar to Triple-A on Tuesday, Holderman looked like a candidate to factor into the mix for saves, but his knee injury likely leaves Dennis Santana as the top choice for any closing situations that emerge in the short term. Holderman had struggled through his first five appearances before getting injured, yielding five earned runs on six hits and four walks over 4.2 innings.
