Siri is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Marlins.

He'll head to the bench for the second time in as many days while Tyrone Taylor picks up another start in center field. Siri has gotten off to a 1-for-17 start to the season at the plate, and his lack of production appears to be costing him some playing time.

Winker is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Marlins.

Though he typically starts against right-handed pitchers like the Marlins' Connor Gillispie, the left-handed-hitting Winker will check out of the lineup Tuesday to open up the designated-hitter role for Starling Marte. Winker has gotten off to a sluggish start to the season, hitting .208 with three extra-base hits (two triples, one double), four RBI and a 3:7 BB:K over 27 plate appearances.

Double-A Richmond placed Eldridge (wrist) on the 7-day injured list.

He tweaked his left wrist on a swing early in spring training and has been brought along slowly since. Eldridge has been playing in games in extended spring training and should soon join Richmond, where he hit .270 with one home run in nine games last year.

Pena was held back in extended spring training, Jonathan Mayo of MLB Pipeline reports.

Pena had a 2.43 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and 64:18 K:BB in 63 innings while climbing from High-A to Triple-A last season. The righty reliever is likely dealing with an injury or building up after being slowed early in camp.

Tears is dealing with a hamstring injury and is expected to join Single-A Lake Elsinore later in April, Jonathan Mayo of MLB Pipeline reports.

Tears, a 22-year-old outfielder the Padres selected with the 134th overall pick last year, has yet to make his pro debut. He hit 20 homers with a 25.3 percent strikeout rate in 71 games at Tennessee in 2024.

Peterson (illness) is listed as the Mets' probable starting pitcher for Saturday's game against the Athletics in Sacramento.

Mets manager Carlos Mendoza acknowledged after Peterson's latest start Sunday against Toronto that the southpaw was dealing with some nauseousness, but Peterson never appeared to be at any major risk of missing his next turn through the rotation. Despite being less than 100 percent and issuing five walks while taking a no-decision against Toronto, Peterson limited the Blue Jays to one run over 4.2 innings, lowering his ERA to 2.53 in the process.

Hightower is dealing with a hamstring injury and is expected to join Single-A Lake Elsinore later in April, Jonathan Mayo of MLB Pipeline reports.

He suffered the hamstring injury during spring training. Hightower reportedly had a strong showing during fall instructs after the Padres selected him out of high school with the No. 88 overall pick in the 2024 First-Year Player Draft.

High-A Beloit placed Milbrandt on the 7-day injured list with fluid buildup in his arm, Jim Callis of MLB Pipeline reports.

Milbrandt is expected to return to action sometime in May. The 20-year-old righty logged a 4.33 ERA, 1.51 WHIP and 91:57 K:BB in 97.2 innings at High-A in 2024.

May is recovering from arthroscopic elbow surgery and should return to the mound before the end of June, Jim Callis of MLB Pipeline reports.

The No. 70 overall pick in the 2024 First-Year Player Draft, May dealt with an elbow strain during his junior year at Oregon State and has not yet made his pro debut. He is on the 60-day injured list at Single-A Jupiter. He has a plus slider and an above-average fastball that could play up in relief if starting doesn't work out.

McNeil (oblique) is traveling to Florida to ramp up his rehab program and still hopes to be activated before the end of April, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

McNeil had been rehabbing in New York, but he's headed to warmer temperatures as he accelerates his program, which includes taking batting practice on the field Tuesday for the first time since his oblique injury. The Mets haven't provided word yet regarding when he might be ready for a rehab assignment, but it shouldn't be long. McNeil will take over as the Mets' primary second baseman once he's cleared to return from the 10-day injured list.
