Pagan worked a scoreless ninth inning Tuesday to record his second save of the season in Tuesday's 1-0 win over the Giants.

The veteran righty needed only seven pitches (six strikes) to get the job done. Pagan hasn't been a full-time closer since 2019, when he collected 20 saves for the Rays. but he's getting a chance to handle that job while Alexis Diaz (hamstring) gets healthy and tries to get his mechanics back in sync. Through his first five appearances this season, Pagan has a 0.00 ERA and 3:1 K:BB and has allowed only one hit. Tony Santillan, who recorded the final out of Monday's combined shutout after Hunter Greene fired 8.2 innings, has the only other save so far in 2025 for Cincinnati.

Lodolo (2-1) picked up the win Tuesday, scattering three hits and a walk over six scoreless innings in a 1-0 victory over the Giants. He struck out three.

The southpaw delivered his third straight quality start to begin the season, and Lodolo has gone 15.2 straight innings without allowing an earned run. He's not posting his usual strikeout numbers, however, sporting an 8:1 K:BB through 18.2 frames to go along with his 0.96 ERA and 0.70 WHIP. Lodolo will look to keep rolling in his next outing, which lines up to come at home early next week against the Mariners.

Walker is not in the lineup for Wednesday's game in Pittsburgh.

Walker went 0-for-8 with five strikeouts in the first two games of the series, so he'll get a day off in Wednesday's matinee. Lars Nootbaar will shift over to right field for the Cardinals, while Brendan Donovan will play left field and Thomas Saggese will handle second base.

Myers (oblique) yielded two hits and two walks over 3.1 scoreless innings in his first rehab start with Triple-A Nashville on Tuesday.

Myers struck out a pair of batters and got his pitch count up to 45 in his first game appearance since he suffered a left oblique strain in mid-March. The right-hander is scheduled to make two more rehab starts before rejoining the Brewers' rotation.

Martinez struck out one in a scoreless ninth inning Tuesday to record his second save of the season in a 4-3 win over the Orioles.

A.J. Puk collected the hold in the eighth before turning things over to Martinez, who plunked Tyler O'Neill with a pitch but was otherwise untouchable. Martinez has a 0.00 ERA and 7:0 K:BB through 4.2 innings while sharing closing duties with Puk.

Kelly (2-1) picked up the win in Tuesday's 4-3 victory over the Orioles, allowing three runs (two earned) on three hits and two walks over six-plus innings. He struck out four.

The veteran right-hander was tagged for a pair of runs in the first inning, an ominous sign after Kelly got ambushed by the Yankees his last time out, but he steadied the ship after that and produced his first quality start of the season on 89 pitches (61 strikes). Kelly's 7.20 ERA still shows the scars of that trip to the Bronx, and his 7:9 K:BB in 15 innings hasn't been fantasy-friendly, but he may be trending in the right direction. He's scheduled to make his next start on the road early next week in Miami.

Alexander (oblique) began a rehab assignment Tuesday with Triple-A Reno, going 0-for-1 with two hit-by-pitches and a run scored.

Alexander played four innings at shortstop before checking out of the contest. The 25-year-old missed most of the Cactus League while recovering from a right oblique strain and will likely remain on assignment at Triple-A through the weekend before the Diamondbacks consider bringing him back from the injured list. Tim Tawa has recently taken over as Arizona's primary second baseman since Ketel Marte (hamstring) landed on the IL, but Alexander could emerge as a candidate to fill in at the keystone once he completes his rehab assignment and if Tawa is struggling to produce.

Candelario started at third base and went 0-for-4 in Tuesday's 1-0 win over the Giants.

Candelario's stretch of futility reached 15 at-bats without a hit, and his average dropped to .140. His main competitor for playing time at third base, Gavin Lux, moved to second base to cover for Matt McLain (hamstring), who was placed on the 10-day injured list Tuesday. That seemingly benefits Candelario; however, along with the McLain transaction, the Reds recalled third baseman Noelvi Marte from Triple-A Louisville, and he could eat into Candelario's opportunities.

Dunn started in left field and went 1-for-3 with a walk and a stolen base in Tuesday's 1-0 win over San Francisco.

Dunn served in left field, as Gavin Lux moved to second base after the Reds placed Matt McLain (hamstring) on the 10-day injured list. Lux, who had been filling in for the injured Austin Hays (calf) in left field, is now covering for another injured teammate. Hays is expected to return at some point during Cincinnati's homestand, which begins Friday and runs to the following Thursday. As part of Tuesday's roster moves, the Reds also recalled outfielder Will Benson, a left-handed bat that could also see time in left field.

Lux started at second base for a second straight game and went 2-for-4 with a double in Tuesday's 1-0 win over the Giants.

Lux filled in at second base for Matt McLain, who was placed on the 10-day injured list Tuesday with a hamstring injury that has kept him out of the lineup since last Thursday. Lux had been starting in left field in place of the injured Austin Hays (calf), who is nearing a return.
