Marlins' Jakob Marsee: Resting against lefty

Marsee is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Nationals.

  • Liam Hicks C | MIA

Marlins' Liam Hicks: Idle against southpaw

Hicks is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Nationals.

Left-hander Andrew Alvarez is starting for the Nationals on Wednesday, so the Marlins will go with a right-handed-heavy lineup for the series finale. Hicks will hit the bench along with fellow left-handed hitters Owen Caissie and Jakob Marsee.

  • Brandon Marsh LF | PHI

Phillies' Brandon Marsh: Perfect day at plate Tuesday

Marsh went 4-for-4 with a stolen base in Tuesday's 3-2 win over the Padres.

The four hits matched a season high for Marsh, who raised his batting average to .332, good for second in the majors among qualified hitters. Though a .407 BABIP has helped fuel Marsh's lofty average to some degree, his .298 xBA indicates that he isn't merely benefiting from good fortune and has earned some of his success by making quality contact. He's done an excellent job squaring up on the ball, ranking in the 99th percentile with a 44.7 sweet-spot percentage.

  • Luis Arraez 2B | SF

Giants' Luis Arraez: Two XBH in loss to Milwaukee

Arraez went 2-for-5 with a double, a triple and a run scored in Tuesday's 8-3 loss to the Brewers.

Arraez smacked a two-out triple in the top of the first inning but was stranded after Matt Chapman fouled out. Arraez's average has been above .300 since April 8, and he's now slashing .323/.365/.434 with 11 doubles, four triples, two homers, 23 RBI, 30 runs scored, five stolen bases and a 15:10 BB:K across 253 plate appearances this season.

  • Willy Adames SS | SF

Giants' Willy Adames: Pops solo homer against Milwaukee

Adames went 2-for-3 with a solo homer and one walk in Tuesday's 8-3 loss to the Brewers.

Adames was the only Giants hitter to experience success against Brewers lefty Kyle Harrison. In three trips to the plate against Harrison, Adames walked, singled and belted a solo blast. It was Adames' ninth homer of the season and his sixth in the last 14 games. After a miserable start to the 2026 campaign, Adames is hitting .326 with 13 extra-base hits, including six homers, 18 RBI, 15 runs scored and a .989 OPS over his last 22 games. For the season, Adames is slashing .245/.285/.436 with nine long balls, 24 RBI, 29 runs scored, one stolen base and a 13:70 BB:K across 256 trips to the plate.

  • Giants' Trevor McDonald: Yields three runs in loss Tuesday

McDonald (2-3) took the loss Tuesday against the Brewers, allowing three runs on five hits and three walks with four strikeouts across five innings.

McDonald got into trouble in the first inning, walking each of the first two batters before serving up a three-run homer to Jake Bauers. The right-hander settled in the rest of the way, but the damage was done, and the San Francisco offense was unable to do much of anything against Kyle Harrison. In six starts this season, McDonald has a 4.50 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 31:9 K:BB across 34 innings, and he's lost three straight games. He's lined up to face the Cubs at Wrigley Field on Sunday.

  • Brice Turang 2B | MIL

Brewers' Brice Turang: Drives in two, steals 10th base

Turang went 2-for-4 with two RBI singles, one walk and a stolen base in Tuesday's 8-3 win over the Giants.

The top three batters in the Brewers' lineup went a combined 6-for-11 with four walks, five RBI and four runs scored Tuesday. Turang singled home a run and stole his 10th base of the season in the seventh inning before adding another RBI single to pad the lead in the eighth. After closing May on an 0-for-19 skid, Turang is 4-for-6 with four RBI and three walks to begin June. The second baseman is slashing .275/.405/.460 with seven home runs, 35 RBI, 46 runs scored, the 10 steals and a 45:58 BB:K across 249 plate appearances this season.

  • Brewers' Jackson Chourio: RBI double, two runs in win Tuesday

Chourio went 2-for-4 with an RBI double, one walk and two runs scored in Tuesday's 8-3 win over the Giants.

In just his 24th game of the season, Chourio smacked his ninth double of 2026 in the eighth inning, driving home a run to extend Milwaukee's lead to 7-3. Since making his season debut May 4, Chourio is slashing .284/.348/.431 with 11 extra-base hits, including two homers, 12 RBI, 15 runs scored, five stolen bases and a 10:30 BB:K across 112 plate appearances.

  • Brewers' Christian Yelich: Reaches bases four times Tuesday

Yelich went 2-for-3 with two RBI, two walks, one stolen base and two runs scored in Tuesday's 8-3 win over the Giants.

Yelich walked, stole his fourth base of the season and came around to score in the first inning. He then drove home a pair with a single in the eighth to give Milwaukee a three-run lead. Since missing a few days with a back injury last month, Yelich is 16-for-57 (.281) with three home runs, 10 RBI, 13 runs scored and an 8:20 BB:K over his last 14 games. He's slashing .286/.360/.455 with four homers, 20 RBI, 23 runs scored, four stolen bases and a 13:36 BB:K across 125 trips to the plate this season.

  • Ramon Urias 3B | STL

Cardinals' Ramon Urias: Nearing rehab assignment

Urias (elbow) is expected to begin a rehab assignment at Triple-A Memphis as soon as this weekend, Derrick Goold and Amber Winkler of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch report.

Urias is nearly ready for game action after being sidelined for the past month with right elbow lateral epicondylitis. The veteran infielder should be ready to rejoin the Cardinals' roster by mid-June, and Urias might see an uptick in playing time, given Nolan Gorman's struggles.
