Crow-Armstrong went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 4-2 loss to the Padres.

After batting just .148 with no home runs though seven games in March, Crow-Armstrong has heated up in April. The youngster is now batting .315 with three long balls in 14 games this month. Crow-Armstrong is also continuing to showcase his trademark wheels, as he's swiped seven bases in eight attempts this season. If Crow-Armstrong can keep making consistent contact, his combination of power and speed makes him an intriguing fantasy option.

Lopez was ejected from Wednesday's game against the Pirates, Andrew Golden of The Washington Post reports.

Lopez hit Bryan Reynolds with a pitch in the seventh inning and threw a pitch near Andrew McCutchen's head during the following at-bat. Lopez and McCutchen then had a heated exchange of words, which led to both benches clearing and the reliever's removal from the game. It remains to be seen whether he will face further discipline from Major League Baseball.

Boyd (1-2) took the loss Wednesday against San Diego, allowing two runs on six hits and two walks over 5.1 innings. He struck out three.

It was a solid outing overall for Boyd, though he ran into trouble in the third inning, when the Padres tallied two runs on three hits and a walk. While he's now dropped back-to-back decisions, the 34-year-old Boyd has gotten off to a strong start with the Cubs, pitching to a 2.01 ERA with a 1.25 WHIP and 20:9 K:BB through his first four outings (22.1 innings). The left-hander will look to get back in the win column in his next start, tentatively scheduled for next week against the Dodgers.

Suarez earned the save in Wednesday's 4-2 win over the Cubs, not allowing a baserunner in a scoreless ninth inning while not recording a strikeout.

Suarez continued his excellent start to the season in Wednesday's win, securing his league-leading eighth save. The 34-year-old Suarez has yet to allow a run through nine innings while pitching to a stellar 0.56 WHIP with 10:2 K:BB.

Pivetta (3-1) earned the win Wednesday over the Cubs, allowing one run on four hits and one walk over six innings. He struck out six.

It was another strong outing from Pivetta, with the lone blemish against him coming on a Kyle Tucker sacrifice fly in the third inning. The 32-year-old Pivetta's ERA is down to 1.57 on the year with a 0.83 WHIP and 24:5 K:BB through 23 innings after joining the Padres on a four-year, $55 million contract in February. He'll look to keep rolling in his next outing, currently lined up for next week in Detroit.

Winker went 2-for-5 with two doubles, a run scored and an RBI in Wednesday's 4-3 extra-inning loss to the Twins.

The veteran outfielder broke an 0-for-13 skid with the performance. Winker has had a tough beginning to 2025 and missed time over the last week with an illness, but he's capable of heating up quickly if he's healthy. Through 12 games, he's batting .200 (7-for-35) with zero homers, one run and six RBI.

Hagenman didn't factor into the decision in Wednesday's 4-3 extra-inning loss to the Twins, giving up one run on three hits over 3.1 innings. He struck out four without walking a batter.

Making his big-league debut. Hagenman was deployed as the primary pitcher behind opener Huascar Brazoban and acquitted himself well, tossing 32 of 50 pitches for strikes before handing the ball off to Jose Butto. Hagenman wasn't exactly dominating for Triple-A Syracuse prior to his promotion, posting a 6.97 ERA and 12:4 K:BB through 10.1 innings over three appearances (two starts), but Wednesday's performance should earn him more opportunities with the Mets as the season progresses.

Frelick went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a second run scored in Wednesday's 5-1 win over the Tigers.

The 24-year-old outfielder took Keider Montero deep in the sixth inning for a solo shot, and the afternoon's final run, as he drove a changeup up in the zone 408 feet to right-center field. It was Frelick's first long ball of the season, but he's had an impressive beginning to the campaign without big-time power, slashing .318/.408/.455 through 19 games with five steals, six RBI and 11 runs.

Fulford is starting behind home plate and batting ninth against the Dodgers on Wednesday, Patrick Lyons of JustBaseball.com reports.

Fulford will make his first major-league start Wednesday after being called up by the Rockies from Triple-A Albuquerque on Monday. Fulford started his season in Triple-A strongly with a .868 OPS, five home runs and 10 RBI across 44 plate appearances. Hunter Goodman could see more action as the Rockies' designated hitter for as long as Kris Bryant (back) is on the 10-day injured list, opening up opportunities behind the plate.

Quintana (2-0) picked up the win in Wednesday's 5-1 victory over Detroit, allowing one run on four hits and three walks over 5.2 innings. He struck out four.

The veteran southpaw couldn't match the seven scoreless innings he tossed in his season debut, but Quintana was still sharp in his second outing of 2025. He tossed 58 of 100 pitches for strikes, including 20 called strikes as he kept Tigers hitters guessing. Quintana will take a 0.71 ERA, 0.87 WHIP and 6:3 K:BB through his first 12.2 innings into his next start, which lines up to come on the road early next week in San Francisco.
