The Reds placed Lodolo on the paternity leave list Friday.

He had been scheduled to start Sunday in Baltimore, but that assignment will now go to Carson Spiers. Lodolo could slot back into the Reds' rotation as soon as Monday in Miami, but the club has not yet confirmed when his next start will happen.

Spiers was recalled from Triple-A Louisville on Friday and is scheduled to start Sunday's game at Baltimore, Charlie Goldsmith of the Dayton Daily News reports.

The 27-year-old was demoted to Louisville on April 8 but will rejoin Cincinnati for a spot start this weekend with Nick Lodolo being placed on the paternity list. Spiers made two starts for the Reds prior to being sent down and allowed five earned runs with an 8:3 K:BB across 9.1 innings.

Gore won't start as scheduled Friday at Colorado since the game was postponed due to inclement weather.

Denver is experiencing some snow Friday, so an early call was made to postpone the series opener. The game will be made up via a doubleheader Sunday, with Gore likely to take the mound Saturday or during the twin bill.

Dollander will have his start pushed back after Friday's game between the Nationals and Rockies was postponed due to inclement weather.

The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader Sunday. Dollander will now take the ball Saturday as the Rockies readjust their rotation.

Burleson is not in the lineup for Friday's game against the Mets.

With lefty David Peterson on the bump for the Mets, Burleson will yield to Luken Baker in the designated hitter slot. Burleson has been absent from the lineup all six times the Cardinals have faced a southpaw this season.

Nootbaar is absent from the lineup for Friday's tilt against the Mets.

With southpaw David Peterson toeing the slab for the Mets, Nootbaar will be given a day of rest. Victor Scott has been elevated to the leadoff spot and will play left field, while Michael Siani receives a start in center field.

The Brewers recalled Durbin from Triple-A Nashville on Friday.

Durbin entered spring training as the favorite to be Milwaukee's primary third baseman after being acquired from the Yankees this offseason in the Devin Williams trade, but he ended up beginning the campaign in the minors. The 25-year-old hit well to start the season at Nashville with two homers, three steals and a .278/.316/.481 slash line in 13 games, and he's now primed to make his MLB debut for the Brewers. Following the demotion of Oliver Dunn on Thursday, Durbin is poised to receive regular playing time at the hot corner.

The Cubs recalled Wicks from Triple-A Iowa on Friday, Taylor McGregor of Marquee Sports Network reports.

Wicks' last appearance at Iowa came in relief, as he struck out five over three perfect innings. He looks to be slated for bullpen duty with the Cubs, providing some length behind Friday's starter, Colin Rea, who has yet to work more than 3.2 innings in an outing this season.

McCarthy (hand) will start in center field and bat eighth in Friday's game versus the Cubs.

McCarthy has been limited this week by a sore hand as a result of a hit-by-pitch in Sunday's game versus the Brewers, but he'll give it a go in Friday's series opener. The 27-year-old is just 3-for-33 at the plate so far this season.

Minter worked a perfect eighth inning Thursday to record his fourth hold of the season in a win over the Cardinals.

The southpaw needed only nine pitches (six strikes) to breeze through the top of the St. Louis batting order. Minter has had a strong start to the season as one of the primary setup men for Edwin Diaz, posting a 2.16 ERA, 0.72 WHIP and 12:1 K:BB through 8.1 innings over nine appearances.
