Yastrzemski went 2-for-4 with two runs scored, a solo homer and an additional RBI in Thursday's 6-5 win over the Brewers.

Yastrzemski tied things up at 2-2 in the third inning with a solo homer off Tobias Myers, and the outfielder drove in another run in the eighth frame on a fielder's choice groundout. It was Yastrzemski's sixth multi-hit game of the season, and he's started the year slashing .282/.414/.535 with two stolen bases, 12 runs scored, four home runs and 13 RBI over 87 plate appearances. He's also drawn 15 walks, which is 10th-best in the National League.

Burrows was promoted from Triple-A Indianapolis on Thursday, Colin Beazley of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

Burrows was one of the final pitchers in contention for a roster spot out of spring training but missed out to begin the regular season. With Tim Mayza (shoulder) out for the long term, Burrows will likely start with a depth bullpen role. However, he has served as a starter with Triple-A Indianapolis and could get spot starts on occasion.

Gorski's contract was selected by the Pirates on Thursday, Colin Beazley of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

Gorski had an excellent spring training and was in contention for a roster spot. He's carried that performance over into the start of the Triple-A season, maintaining a 122 wRC+ across 77 plate appearances. In combination with the struggles of the recently optioned Jack Suwinski, Gorski will now get his first chance in the majors. He is starting at first base and hitting seventh Thursday against the Angels.

Suwinski was optioned to Triple-A Indianapolis on Thursday, Colin Beazley of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

Suwinski began the season with a regular role in the outfield, but he's started just three of the team's last 11 games. His playing time slipped after a dreadful start to the season, as he has just five hits across 39 at-bats while striking out 42.2 percent of the time.

Manager Bob Melvin said Walker would get the save chance for the Giants on Friday, if the situation arose, Justice delos Santos of The San Jose Mercury News reports.

Camilo Doval has earned each of the Giants' last three saves, all of which have come since Monday. After Thursday's game, Melvin said that the Giants wanted to give Walker the day off -- he pitched Wednesday and allowed two earned runs while recording just one out -- and gave him a tepid vote of confidence. After allowing only one earned run across his first eight innings, Walked has surrendered six earned runs across only 0.2 innings in his last two outings combined.

Ginkel (shoulder) allowed two runs on two walks and two hits while recording only one out in Thursday's rehab outing with Triple-A Reno.

Ginkel entered the game in the sixth inning and allowed a single and double to go along with the pair of walks. It wasn't an ideal outing from a results perspective, but he managed to ramp up his pitch count to 22 and suffered no setbacks. He may require another appearance or two in the minors but should be back with Arizona in the near future.

Moniak is out of the lineup for the second game of Thursday's doubleheader versus Kansas City.

After an 0-for-4 performance in the early game, Moniak will grab a seat on the bench to begin Game 2 while Jordan Beck, Brenton Doyle and Nick Martini start across Colorado's outfield.

Farmer isn't in the lineup for the second game of Thursday's doubleheader against the Royals.

Farmer went 0-for-4 with a strikeout in the first game of Thursday's twin bill, and he'll now watch the beginning of Game 2 from the bench. His absence will open up shortstop for Aaron Schunk to pick up a start and bat ninth against Michael Lorenzen.

Marquez (0-4) took the loss Thursday in the first game of a doubleheader with the Royals, allowing six runs on eight hits and three walks over four innings. He struck out three.

It was another tough day for Marquez, who's now allowed 18 earned runs over just 9.1 innings in his last three outings. The 30-year-old right-hander sports an ugly 9.30 ERA with a 2.02 WHIP and 14:11 K:BB through his first five starts (20.1 innings) this season. Marquez will look to right the ship in his next outing, currently lined up for next week at home against Atlanta.

The Reds outrighted Wynne to Triple-A Louisville on Thursday.

Wynne is no longer on the 40-man roster but will remain in the organization as starting pitching depth. The 32-year-old made one relief appearance with the Reds this past weekend, allowing one run over three innings.
