With Toronto nursing a 3-2 lead, Rogers got the call against Washington's 9-1-2 hitters and got the job done on just eight pitches (all strikes), fanning James Wood along the way. Rogers hasn't allowed a run since June 23, reeling off 10 straight scoreless appearances and posting a 0.50 WHIP and 7:1 K:BB in 10 innings with five holds.

Rogers gave up two runs (one earned) on three hits in one inning of relief Tuesday to take his third blown save of the season in an extra-innings loss to the Astros.
With Louis Varland getting some rest after throwing 40 pitches while working two of the prior three days, manager John Schneider had to look to other high-leverage options in a close game. Jeff Hoffman got the final two outs in the eighth inning with the score tied 4-4, and after the Blue Jays took a two-run lead in the bottom of that frame, Rogers got the call in the top of the ninth. The veteran right-hander couldn't close the door, giving up back-to-back singles to Jose Altuve and Yordan Alvarez to begin the inning and watching both eventually come around to score on a catcher's interference call and a sacrifice fly. The earned run was the first on Rogers' ledger since May 25, although he did get tagged for five unearned runs against the Cubs on June 19. On the season, he sports a 1.91 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 20:12 K:BB over 37.2 innings with one win, two saves and 17 holds, and he may be due for some rest of his own -- only teammates Mason Fluharty (42 appearances) and Braydon Fisher (40) have appeared in more games this season than Rogers.

Rogers gave up two hits and a walk in a scoreless eighth inning Monday to record his 17th hold of the season in a win over the Astros.
The submarining righty allowed a pair of leadoff singles with the Blue Jays clinging to a 3-2 lead, but Rogers neutralized the threat by getting Christian Walker to ground into a double play. The 17 holds ties Rogers for the American League lead with the Guardians' Erik Sabrowski, and his 1.72 ERA through 36.2 innings would be the best mark of his career over a full season, topped only by the 1.02 ERA he produced over 17.2 frames as a rookie with the Giants in 2019.
Rogers worked a perfect ninth inning Wednesday to record his second save of the season in a win over the Marlins.
A pop-up and two flyouts took care of Miami's 7-8-9 hitters after Louis Varland had worked the eighth against the heart of the order. Toronto manager John Schneider's willingness to use Varland outside the ninth will open up occasional save chances for other relievers, but Rogers will be competing for those rare opportunities with Jeff Hoffman, and potentially Yimi Garcia (elbow) beginning in early June as well. On the season, Rogers sports a 2.52 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and 15:9 K:BB over 25 innings while also collecting one win and nine holds in 26 appearances.

Closer Louis Varland was presumably not available after throwing two innings in Saturday's extra-inning victory over Detroit, so it was Rogers who got the call to lock down the save for Toronto on Sunday. Rogers, who picked up his first save since 2024 on Sunday, has been a reliable high-leverage arm for the Blue Jays in 2026. The soft-throwing right-hander has logged seven holds over 21.1 frames, sporting a 1.69 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 14:7 K:BB.

Rogers had opened the season with a streak of eight scoreless appearances, but he was tagged with both runs in the eighth -- an RBI single from William Contreras and an RBI groundout from Brice Turang. Even though this was far from being Rogers' best outing, he still has a 0.93 ERA across his first 9.2 innings over nine appearances this season. He should remain a trustworthy arm out of the Blue Jays' pen as long as he can continue to limit the damage like he's done in the past, but his 5:4 K:BB is a bit concerning from a fantasy perspective.

The veteran sidearmer was the first man out of the bullpen for Toronto after Kevin Gausman had dominated for six scoreless innings, and Rogers kept the shutout going before the team's other relievers stumbled late. Rogers is expected to begin the season as one of the primary setup men for the Blue Jays ahead of closer Jeff Hoffman, Gregor Chisholm and Mike Wilner of the Toronto Star report.
After signing a three-year, $37 million contract with Toronto in December, it's no surprise that Rogers will have a high-leverage role. The veteran right-hander has recorded at least 30 holds in three straight seasons, posting a 1.98 ERA, 0.94 WHIP and 48:7 K:BB over 77.1 innings in 2025 between the Mets and Giants.
