Blue Jays' Tyler Rogers: Tagged with loss vs. Brewers
Rogers (1-1) was tagged with the loss in relief Wednesday against the Brewers, allowing two runs (one earned) on two hits and a walk over an inning.
Rogers had opened the season with a streak of eight scoreless appearances, but he was tagged with both runs in the eighth -- an RBI single from William Contreras and an RBI groundout from Brice Turang. Even though this was far from being Rogers' best outing, he still has a 0.93 ERA across his first 9.2 innings over nine appearances this season. He should remain a trustworthy arm out of the Blue Jays' pen as long as he can continue to limit the damage like he's done in the past, but his 5:4 K:BB is a bit concerning from a fantasy perspective.

Blue Jays' Tyler Rogers: Notches second hold
Rogers gave up two hits in a scoreless inning of relief to record his second hold of the season in Wednesday's loss to the Rockies.
The veteran sidearmer was the first man out of the bullpen for Toronto after Kevin Gausman had dominated for six scoreless innings, and Rogers kept the shutout going before the team's other relievers stumbled late. Rogers has seen a heavy workload to begin his Blue Jays tenure, appearing in four of the season's first six games and posting a 0.00 ERA, 0.75 WHIP and 3:1 K:BB.

Blue Jays' Tyler Rogers: Slotted into setup role
Rogers is expected to begin the season as one of the primary setup men for the Blue Jays ahead of closer Jeff Hoffman, Gregor Chisholm and Mike Wilner of the Toronto Star report.
After signing a three-year, $37 million contract with Toronto in December, it's no surprise that Rogers will have a high-leverage role. The veteran right-hander has recorded at least 30 holds in three straight seasons, posting a 1.98 ERA, 0.94 WHIP and 48:7 K:BB over 77.1 innings in 2025 between the Mets and Giants.

Blue Jays' Tyler Rogers: Inks three-year pact with Jays
Rogers signed a three-year, $37 million contract with the Blue Jays on Friday that includes a vesting option for 2029, Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic reports.
After bolstering their rotation by signing Dylan Cease and Cody Ponce earlier this offseason, the Blue Jays now add an elite back-end bullpen arm in the form of Rogers. The 34-year-old righty enjoyed one of his best MLB seasons in 2025, logging a 1.98 ERA and 0.94 WHIP across 77.1 innings between the Giants and Mets. Given Jeff Hoffman's struggles as Toronto's primary closer this past season (4.37 ERA), there's a chance that Rogers takes over as the club's primary ninth-inning option.

Mets' Tyler Rogers: Going to Mets in trade
The Mets acquired Rogers from the Giants on Wednesday in exchange for right-handers Jose Butto and Blade Tidwell and outfielder Drew Gilbert, Joel Sherman of the New York Post reports.
Rogers has been one of the most effective and durable relievers in baseball over the last several years and has posted a 1.80 ERA, 0.86 WHIP and 38:4 K:BB over 50 innings for the Giants this season. The submarine-style hurler is making $5.25 million in 2025 and is an impending free agent. He'll likely slot in as the top setup man in New York in front of closer Edwin Diaz.

Giants' Tyler Rogers: Surrenders two runs in loss
Rogers (4-3) took the loss in Tuesday's 3-1 defeat to the Pirates, allowing two earned runs on four hits while striking out one over one inning.
Rogers entered with the game tied in the eighth inning and gave up four singles that led to a two-run deficit. The right-hander threw 12 of his 16 pitches for strikes. The 34-year-old allowed his first run since June 30 and now owns a 1.80 ERA, 0.86 WHIP and 38:4 K:BB across 50 innings in 53 appearances this season.
