Marte went 3-for-5 with two RBI and a run scored in Friday's 8-7 win over the Rockies. He was also caught stealing.

Marte delivered the first two Cincinnati runs and then scored its sixth run. The effort continued a sizzling stretch for the third baseman, who is 11-for-22 with three doubles, two home runs, 10 RBI and five runs scored over the last five contests. After batting in the lower third of the batting order upon his arrival from Triple-A Louisville, Marte batted fifth the last two games.

Skenes (3-2) picked up the win Friday, allowing five hits over 6.1 scoreless innings in a 3-0 victory over the Dodgers. He struck out nine without walking a batter.

In a battle of early NL Cy Young candidates, Skenes came out on top against Yoshinobu Yamamoto. The Pittsburgh ace racked up 37 called or swinging strikes among his 108 pitches (69 total strikes), and his nine Ks were his highest total so far in 2025. Skenes will take a 2.39 ERA, 0.80 WHIP and 39:4 K:BB through 37.2 innings into his next start, which lines up to come at home next week against the Cubs.

Lawlar is batting .354/.446/.656 over 24 games for Triple-A Reno. He's started 14 of those 24 contests at second base.

Lawlar came up through the system as a shortstop, but a position switch for the team's top prospect was signaled when the Diamondbacks extended shortstop Geraldo Perdomo this spring. Lawlar is currently riding a seven-game hit streak, during which he's 15-for-30 with five walks, two home runs, two triples, four doubles, 12 RBI, five steals and 10 runs scored. "He's driving the ball to all fields," Arizona farm director Chris Slivka told Steve Gilbert of MLB.com. "He's controlling his bats. He's getting more experience over there at second base, getting more familiarity with the position and the reads, the angles and double play turns. He's looked really good on both sides of the ball, so he's obviously trending in the right direction." That direction should eventually lead to the majors, but there isn't an obvious path to regular at-bats once second baseman Ketel Marte (hamstring) returns from injury. Lawlar has played some third base, which could be an option if Eugenio Suarez doesn't improve on his .690 OPS.

Barrosa started in center field and went 1-for-4 with an RBI in Friday's 8-2 loss to Atlanta.

Barrosa made his first start (second appearance) since being called up from Triple-A Reno on Tuesday. While primary center fielder Alek Thomas has hit well to start the season, including a small-sample 3-for-9 against lefties, the Diamondbacks remain reticent to use him against southpaws. The switch-hitting Barrosa will serve as the right-handed complement in center field. He had an .857 OPS over 105 plate appearances at Reno prior to his call-up.

Smith left Friday's appearance for Triple-A Indianapolis after facing just one batter with an undisclosed injury, the Minnesota Star Tribune reports.

Smith left in the middle of a plate appearance against Royce Lewis when he signaled for a trainer. Smith has thrown 1.1 scoreless innings in three appearances for Indianapolis this season.

Goodman went 2-for-3 with two walks, two doubles and three runs scored Friday against the Reds.

Goodman's production has come in waves this season, but he's performed well across his last 10 games. He had at least one hit in eight of his last nine games entering Friday, going 9-for-33 with two home runs, six RBI and six runs scored over that span. Goodman's production also hasn't come solely thanks to Coors Field.

Ramirez went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run and a double in Friday's win over Seattle.

The rookie catcher continued his impressive start to his major-league career, adding his first home run Friday. Ramirez now has an extra-base hit and multiple knocks in each of his first three games, and he also has two walks and a stolen base through 12 plate appearances. With Nick Fortes (oblique) and Rob Brantly (lat) both on the injured list, Ramirez -- who is one of Miami's top prospects -- has an opportunity to establish himself at the highest level.

Steer went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run and an additional run scored in Friday's 8-7 win over the Rockies.

Steer gave the Reds a 4-1 lead in the third inning, when he took Kyle Freeland deep to left field for a two-run homer. It was Steer's second home run of the season, and over his last four games he's gone 5-for-17 with two walks, six runs and four RBI.

Pagan struck out two batters in a scoreless ninth inning Friday to earn his sixth save of the season in an 8-7 win over the Rockies.

Pagan needed 15 pitches (nine strikes) to get through the ninth inning and struck out the last two batters he faced. It was the fifth time this season that he's recorded multiple strikeouts, three of which have come over his last five outings. Pagan has a 2.19 ERA, 0.41 WHIP and 11:1 K:BB across 12.1 innings this season, which should keep him in the closer role over Alexis Diaz -- at least for the time being.

Abbott did not factor into the decision in Friday's 8-7 win over the Rockies. He allowed four runs on five hits and five walks while striking out four over four innings.

Abbott entered Friday's game having given up just two earned runs over his first 11 big-league innings this season. He started out nicely by retiring the side in the first, but he gave up a run on a bases-loaded walk in the second inning before yielding three more runs in the third, including a Jordan Beck solo homer. Abbott didn't make it into the fifth inning despite tossing 83 pitches (45 strikes) while generating eight whiffs. He's slated to make his next start at home against the Cardinals next week.
