Wilkinson (0-1) took the loss Sunday, allowing four runs on seven hits and no walks over 3.2 innings in a 5-4 loss to the Red Sox. He struck out two.

Wilkinson worked a scoreless first inning but allowed runs in each of the next three frames before being pulled at 66 pitches (47 strikes). The rookie southpaw took the mound on three days' rest, coming off two shutout innings in his debut Wednesday, so his workload was likely to be limited regardless of effectiveness. The Giants' exact plan with Wilkinson remains to be seen, but a looming doubleheader Saturday against the Diamondbacks could provide the southpaw with his next opportunity to start.

Mitchell suffered a right forearm contusion Sunday against Atlanta, Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Mitchell was hit by a pitch in the bottom of the fourth inning, and he was unable to take the field in the top of the fifth. After undergoing additional imaging, the result was determined to be a contusion, and he can be considered day-to-day ahead of Monday's day off for Milwaukee.

Ramirez went 3-for-6 with a home run, two additional runs scored and five total RBI in Sunday's 19-2 win over the Mariners.

Ramirez had a huge afternoon as he helped lead the Cubs to the blowout victory. The rookie infielder set a new career best with the five RBI, and he's looked comfortable overall in the majors with a .285 batting average and .767 OPS through 55 games. With Dansby Swanson (oblique) on the injured list, the Cubs have been using Nico Hoerner at shortstop, which has opened up regular time for Ramirez at second base. The 22-year-old is worth a look for however long his role remains elevated.

Mitchell (arm) exited Sunday's contest against Atlanta in the fifth inning after being hit by a pitch, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Mitchell took a 94.4 mph fastball from Tyler Mahle off his right hand/wrist with two outs in the bottom of the fourth inning, and although he was able to finish the frame, Luis Lara replaced him in the outfield to open the top of the fifth. Mitchell developed quite the welt on his arm, and the team decided to pull him from the contest. The 27-year-old will likely undergo further evaluation, and he can be considered day-to-day for the time being.

Crow-Armstrong went 2-for-4 with a walk, a home run, an additional run scored and three total RBI in Sunday's 19-2 win over the Mariners. He also stole a base.

Crow-Armstrong led the offensive attack for the Cubs on a day when they recorded 17 hits and went deep four times. The star outfielder did his part with his 33rd home run of the season in the eighth inning, and he also tallied his 32nd stolen base. Crow-Armstrong has already become the first Chicago player to post consecutive 30-30 campaigns, and he could register his first career 40-40 campaign with a hot finish to the year.

Happ went 2-for-4 with a walk, a home run, an additional run scored and five total RBI in Sunday's 19-2 win over the Mariners.

Happ had a massive performance as the Cubs rolled to an easy victory. The veteran outfielder got a rest day Saturday, but he went deep in both of his starts over the weekend against Seattle, and he's now up to 22 home runs in 127 games this season. Happ's career high in homers is 25, which he recorded on two different occasions, and he's closing in on that mark in 2026.

Conforto went 1-for-2 with a solo home run in Sunday's 19-2 win over the Mariners.

Conforto was one of four Chicago players to go deep in the comfortable win. The veteran outfielder now has 11 home runs across 87 games this season to go along with 31 RBI and a .760 OPS. Conforto remains a threat when deployed against right-handed pitching, but his current role is too inconsistent to drive much fantasy value, except for in daily formats whenever he's in the lineup in a favorable matchup.

Ginkel didn't allow a hit, walk or run while striking out one over one-third of an inning to earn the save in Sunday's 5-3 win over the Reds.

Brandyn Garcia was given the first chance at the save, but he was removed after the three-batter minimum. Ginkel allowed one baserunner on an error but struck out Tyler Stephenson to preserve the lead. Ginkel has had a shaky August, allowing seven runs over 8.2 innings, which has led to limited opportunities for him to be a factor in Arizona's closer committee. For the year, he's at a 3.76 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 53:15 K:BB while adding two saves, 11 holds and a blown save over 55 innings.

Bratt allowed three runs on five hits and three walks while striking out three over three innings in a no-decision versus the Reds on Sunday.

Bratt gave up a three-spot in the third inning, and the Diamondbacks opted to go to the bullpen early after that. His teammates got him off the hook with a comeback win, but this was a second straight shaky showing for Bratt after he opened August with a pair of quality starts. He's given up six runs on nine hits and six walks over six innings across his last two outings. Bratt is at a 4.54 ERA, 1.56 WHIP and 28:25 K:BB through 39.2 innings over nine starts this season, five of which have been shorter than five innings. He's a risky fantasy option even heading into a favorable road matchup versus the Giants for his next game.

Abbott (6-9) allowed four runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out six over six-plus innings to take the loss versus the Diamondbacks on Sunday.

Abbott was left in a little too long, as he was on the hook for three of the four runs Arizona put up in the seventh inning. He threw 54 of 88 pitches for strikes in this outing. He's gone three starts without a win, allowing 11 runs over 16.2 innings in that span. For the season, Abbott has a 4.15 ERA, 1.40 WHIP and 114:68 K:BB through 145.1 innings over 27 starts. He's projected to make his next start on the road versus the Cubs.
