Herrera isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against Washington.

Herrera went 1-for-4 with two RBI in his return from the injured list Friday, and he'll get a day off Saturday as the Cardinals look to ease him back into regular action. Pedro Pages will start behind the plate and bat eighth.

Bell isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Cardinals, Bobby Blanco of MASNSports.com reports.

Bell's early-season struggles continued with an 0-for-3 performance in Friday's series opener, and he'll now take a seat to begin Saturday's game. James Wood will serve as the Nationals' DH with Alex Call filling the void in left field.

The Nationals recalled Brzykcy from Triple-A Rochester on Saturday.

Brzykcy will join the Nationals' bullpen as a replacement for Lucas Sims, who was released by the team Friday. Brzykcy has given up two earned runs while striking out nine batters in 4.2 innings at Triple-A, and he gave up one run in one inning during his season debut for Washington on Tuesday. He'll likely fill in as a low-leverage arm for now.

Betts went 2-for-5 with an RBI and a stolen base Friday in a 14-11 victory versus the Diamondbacks.

Betts' RBI came on a sacrifice fly, and he also singled twice and swiped his third bag of the campaign. He's been collecting hits in bunches of late -- over his last 10 games, the All Star has notched exactly two hits seven times. Over that stretch, Betts is slashing .368/.419/.526 with a home run, 10 RBI, 13 runs and a 4:4 BB:K.

Pages went 2-for-5 with a double, two runs and three RBI in a 14-11 win over Arizona on Friday.

Pages had a couple of big hits in the contest -- in the third inning, he stroked a two-run single to break a 3-3 tie, and in the ninth he notched an RBI double to contribute to a big Dodgers comeback in the final frame. There was a time earlier this season when the second-year outfielder was struggling and in danger of seeing less playing time, but Pages has turned things around with a red-hot stretch at the plate. Over his last 20 games, he's slashing .375/.405/.613 with four home runs, five doubles, one triple, 15 runs, 17 RBI and three stolen bases.

Cronenworth went 1-for-3 with two walks, two runs and an RBI against Colorado in a 13-9 victory Friday.

Cronenworth was activated from the injured list Friday and immediately returned to the lineup at second base. He made an impact in his first game back, getting on base three times, with his lone hit -- a single -- plating a run in the the eighth inning. Per Kevin Acee of The San Diego Union Tribune, the fractured rib that landed Cronenworth on the IL hasn't yet completely healed, and he's wearing an undershirt with padding to protect the area, but he should be able to play on a near-everyday basis moving forward.

Merrill went 3-for-5 with a double, a run and two RBI in a 13-9 win against the Rockies on Friday.

Merrill was one of three Padres to finish with three hits in the offensive onslaught. Among his knocks was a third-inning double that plated a run and a sixth-inning infield single that pushed another run across the plate. Since returning May 6 from a one-month stint on the injured list, Merrill has gone 7-for-13 with a home run, two doubles, three runs and four RBI.

Harrison tossed two scoreless innings in Friday's 3-1 loss to the Twins, allowing three walks (one intentional) while striking out three.

Harrison made his second appearance since being recalled from Triple-A Sacramento on Monday and has yet to allow a run over three innings of relief. The 23-year-old southpaw is expected to remain in the bullpen for now, though he could eventually make a case to join the starting rotation after missing out on an Opening Day spot. Harrison recorded a 3.46 ERA, 1.31 WHIP and a 38:8 K:BB across 26 innings in six starts with Sacramento.

Abrams went 3-for-4 with a double in Friday's loss to the Cardinals.

It's the second straight three-hit performance from the shortstop, who has been on fire the last few weeks. Over the last 14 games. Abrams is slashing .368/.446/.509 with four steals, seven RBI and 10 runs, and he's hitting the ball with considerably more authority this season -- after posting an average exit velocity in the 16th percentile (87.4 mph) in 2023 and the 29th percentile (88.2 mph) in 2024, the 24-year-old is sitting in the 72nd percentile (91.1 mph) so far in 2025.

Soto went 2-for-4 with a walk, a home run and two RBI in Friday's win over the Cubs.

The $765 million man had something of a quiet start to his tenure with the Mets, but Soto is catching fire in May. Five of his eight homers on the season have come in eight games this month, including a solo shot off Jameson Taillon in the fourth inning Friday, and over that stretch Soto is batting .367 (11-for-30) with seven RBI, nine runs and a 7:5 BB:K.
