Gilbert went 2-for-3 with a two-run home run during the Giants' 6-4 loss to the Red Sox on Friday.

Gilbert and Rafael Devers jumped all over Sonny Gray in the fourth inning with back-to-back long balls to reduce the Giants' deficit to 5-4. It was the seventh home run of the season for Gilbert and third over his last nine outings, and it was also his 13th multi-hit game of the year. He is slashing .241/.326/.378 with one steal, 31 RBI and 20 extra-base hits over 309 plate appearances this season.

Webb (8-8) took the loss against the Red Sox on Friday, allowing five runs on six hits and three walks while striking out two across 2.2 innings.

Webb looked to have things under control through the first two innings of Friday's outing, but that all came crashing down in the third frame. He gave up a three-run home run to Willson Contreras before allowing the next five batters to reach base, with Boston tallying two additional runs on a bases-loaded walk and a hit-by pitch. Webb was pulled after the HBP, marking the first time this season that he failed to complete at least three innings in a start, and the five runs he yielded were his most in a game since July 8 against the Blue Jays. He'll look to bounce back in his next start, which is lined up for next week at home against the Diamondbacks.

Toglia was removed from Friday's game against the Diamondbacks with a dislocated right shoulder, C. Trent Rosecrans of The Athletic reports.

Toglia dislocated his shoulder while making a diving catch in the first inning. The 28-year-old has been getting regular playing time since the Reds called him up from Triple-A last week, but he could now be facing a trip to the injured list.

It was the 26th home run of the season for Devers, who is inching closer to reaching the 30-homer mark for a second consecutive year and for the fifth time in his major-league career. On the season, he has a .796 OPS with 70 RBI across 542 plate appearance.

Dobbins was removed from Friday's game against the Phillies with right forearm tightness, Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

Dobbins gave up three runs over four innings Friday and left the game with a trainer after throwing one pitch in the fifth inning. The Cardinals haven't provided any details regarding the severity of his injury, but more information could come after the game.

Contreras went 4-for-4 with an RBI in Friday's 2-1 win over Atlanta.

The Brewers managed only nine hits in total on the afternoon, all of them singles, but Contreras had no trouble solving Chris Sale and the Atlanta bullpen. The 28-year-old backstop has produced multiple hits in three of his last five games, an impressive turnaround after he began August with a .109/.255/.196 slash line over his first 13 contests. During his recent hot streak, Contreras is batting .450 (9-for-20) with a double, a homer, five runs and five RBI.

Megill recorded his 24th save of the season in Friday's 2-1 win over Atlanta, allowing one hit in a scoreless ninth inning. He struck out one.

The right-hander fired an efficient 10 pitches (eight strikes) as he converted his 16th straight save opportunity, with his last blown chance coming June 5 at Coors Field. Megill has been scored upon in only one of 14 appearances since the All-Star break, posting a 0.64 ERA, 0.43 WHIP and 10:2 K:BB over 14 innings during that span. With Megill having pitched both Thursday and Friday, Brewers manager Pat Murphy may have to turn to someone else if the team has a late lead Saturday.

Misiorowski (13-5) picked up the win in Tuesday's 2-1 victory over Atlanta, scattering four hits and two walks over six scoreless innings. He struck out six.

The 24-year-old right-hander came out on top in a battle of NL Cy Young contenders with Chris Sale. Misiorowski didn't allow a runner to get past second base, and he delivered his fourth straight quality start and 16th of the season on 96 pitches (55 strikes). Over six outings since the All-Star break, he's racked up a 3-1 record with a 1.85 ERA, 0.76 WHIP and dominant 49:6 K:BB over 34 innings. Miz will look to keep rolling in his next trip to the mound, which is set to come at home next weekend against the Rangers.

Sale (12-9) took the loss Friday, allowing two runs on eight hits over six innings as Atlanta was downed 2-1 by the Brewers. He struck out six without walking a batter.

Matched up against Jacob Misiorowski in a battle of NL Cy Young contenders, Sale delivered his 16th quality start of the season on 94 pitches (68 strikes), but the veteran southpaw didn't get enough offensive support to avoid the loss. Sale has reeled off six straight quality starts since the All-Star break, posting a 2.19 ERA, 0.81 WHIP and stunning 49:3 K:BB in 37 innings over that stretch. Despite those impressive numbers, he'll look to snap a three-start losing streak in his next outing, which lines up to come at home next weekend against the Rockies.

Amaya is not in the Cubs' starting lineup against the Mariners on Friday.

Amaya will get a breather for Friday's series opener while Carson Kelly starts behind home plate and bats ninth while forming a battery with southpaw Matthew Boyd. Amaya has gone 5-for-25 with two home runs and four RBI across 10 games in August.
