Falter (3-3) picked up the win in Tuesday's 1-0 victory over the Reds, scattering four hits over seven scoreless innings. He struck out five without walking a batter.

It was a dazzling performance from the southpaw, who tossed 55 of 79 pitches for strikes before handing the ball off to the Bucs' bullpen to complete the shutout. Falter has allowed just one run in four May starts and none in his last three trips to the mound, giving him a 0.38 ERA, 0.85 WHIP and 17:9 K:BB through 23.2 innings on the month. He'll look to keep rolling in his next outing, which is scheduled to come at home this weekend against the Brewers.

Martinez (2-5) took the loss Tuesday, allowing one run on four hits and two walks over six innings as the Reds fell 1-0 to the Pirates. He struck out three.

The veteran right-hander delivered his fifth straight quality start on 91 pitches (51 strikes), but Cincinnati hitters couldn't solve Bailey Falter and the Pittsburgh bullpen. Martinez has a 1.74 ERA, 0.94 WHIP and 20:4 K:BB through 31 innings over his quality start streak, but just a 2-2 record to show for it as the Reds have scored a total of 11 runs in those games. He'll hope for more offensive support in his next outing, which lines up to come on the road early next week in Kansas City.

Arenado went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer in Tuesday's loss to the Tigers.

Arenado got the Cardinals on the board in the fifth with a two-run shot to left field. It was his first extra-base hit since he last homered May 11 and he now has multi-hit efforts in two of his last three games. He's still hitting just .152 over his last eight games and may continue to hit in the bottom half of the lineup for the time being after suggesting the move to manager Oli Marmol before Monday's game.

Fedde allowed four runs on five hits and no walks while striking out two in five innings versus the Tigers on Tuesday. He did not factor into the decision.

Fedde began by allowing a leadoff home run to Kerry Carpenter and the Tigers tacked on another run before the inning concluded. The deficit doubled in the third after Riley Greene hit a two-run blast two right, but Fedde was able to retire the final seven batters he faced after that. Fedde had allowed only three home runs all season heading into Tuesday, and he has now posted a 2.43 ERA on the road this season compared to a 5.20 ERA at home. The right-hander lines up for a potential bounce-back road start against the Orioles next week.

Friedl went 2-for-4 with a triple in Tuesday's 1-0 loss to the Pirates.

Friedl gave the Reds their best chance at scoring when he took advantage of a carom off the right-field wall and turned a sure double into a triple. Unfortunately for Cincinnati, he was stranded there, as Pittsburgh lefty Bailey Falter induced a groundout, strikeout and pop out to escape. Since returning from a two-game absence due to a wrist injury, Friedl is 6-for-18 with three extra-base hits, three walks, an RBI and three runs scored.

Moreno went 1-for-3 with a walk and a solo home run in Tuesday's 4-3 extra-inning loss to the Dodgers.

Moreno's ninth-inning blast forced the extra inning. The homer, his third of the season, was his second long ball in as many games and extended his hitting streak to four games. Moreno is 7-for-15 with five extra-base hits and four RBI during the streak.

Lawlar started at third base and went 0-for-2 with two strikeouts in Tuesday's 4-3 extra-inning loss to the Dodgers.

Lawlar made his first start at third base after making appearances at shortstop and second base. The prospect is hitless with one walk and seven strikeouts through 11 plate appearances since being called up from Triple-A Reno.

Martinez (shoulder) allowed one hit over a scoreless inning during a rehab appearance for Triple-A Reno on Tuesday.

Martinez made his second appearance while on rehab assignment after throwing an inning in a rookie-level Arizona Complex League game Saturday. The reliever has already spent more than the minimum 15 days on the injured list, so he could be on track for activation at some point in the coming days.

Harper went 3-for-5 with two RBI, two doubles and a run scored in Tuesday's 7-4 win over the Rockies.

Harper extended his hitting streak to five games, collecting multiple knocks for the fourth time during that stretch. Over his last 15 contests, the All-Star first baseman is batting a scorching .368 (21-for-57) with two homers, six doubles, 14 RBI and nine runs scored. Harper now has 13 multi-hit efforts in 2025.

Tawa went 1-for-2 with a stolen base and a run scored in Tuesday's 4-3 extra-inning loss to the Dodgers.

Tawa didn't start Tuesday, instead coming off the bench to replace Alek Thomas in the eighth inning. As expected, playing time has gotten sparse for Tawa, who is now functioning as a short-side platoon option in center field. He's batting .247 five home runs, five steals, 12 RBI and 13 runs scored across 98 plate appearances this season.
