Fortes went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 14-1 loss to the Cubs.

The backstop took Jameson Taillon deep in the third inning for the Marlins' only offense of the night. It was Fortes' first homer of the season, while the start was his sixth in May over 17 games as he continues to split the workload behind the plate with rookie Agustin Ramirez and Liam Hicks. On the month, Fortes is batting just .136 (3-for-22).

Freeman went 3-for-4 with a double, a steal, an RBI and a run scored in Tuesday's loss to the Phillies.

Freeman paced the Colorado offense with three hits and picked up his first extra-base hit of the year. He now has two steals and has not struck out in 10 at-bats since returning from injury Friday.

Weathers came away with a no-decision in Tuesday's 14-1 loss to the Cubs, allowing one run on five hits over five innings. He struck out four without walking a batter.

The lefty served up a solo shot to Kyle Tucker in the first inning but otherwise held Chicago's bats in check for a second straight start, only to see the Marlins' bullpen melt down as soon as he left the mound. Weathers has given up two runs in 10 innings with a 9:1 K:BB since coming off the injured list last week, and he'll look to stay sharp in a potential revenge game early next week when Miami travels to San Diego -- the team that drafted Weathers in the first round in 2018.

Senzatela (1-8) took the loss Tuesday against the Phillies, allowing four runs on 10 hits and a walk while striking out three in six innings.

Senzatela was hit around for three runs in the first inning but continued on to throw five more innings of one-run ball. Despite tying a season-high mark with 10 hits allowed, Senzatela managed to reach six innings for just the second time in 2025 and did not allow a home run for the third time in his last four home starts. He's given up at least four runs in five consecutive starts and his 6.34 ERA is the worst in baseball among qualified pitchers. Senzatela will have his hands full again when the Yankees come to town this weekend.

Suzuki went 3-for-5 with a walk, a double, a home run, three runs scored and four RBI in Tuesday's 14-1 win over the Marlins.

The game was tied 1-1 until the Cubs erupted for eight runs in the sixth inning, with Suzuki's two-run blast on a Lake Bachar fastball capping the offensive outburst. It was Suzuki's 12th long ball of the year and his third in the last eight games, a stretch in which he's batting .300 (9-for-30) with four doubles, six runs and 11 RBI.

McCoy (finger) began a rehab assignment with Triple-A El Paso on Tuesday, going 1-for-4 with two RBI.

McCoy has been shelved since late April with a sprained finger on his left hand. He will likely need a handful of rehab games and isn't a guarantee to be added back to the major-league roster once activated from the 10-day injured list.

Tucker went 3-for-4 with a walk, a solo home run and a second run scored in Tuesday's 14-1 win over the Marlins.

The 28-year-old outfielder produced his first three-hit effort since April 22, while his first-inning long ball off Ryan Weathers snapped a brief nine-game homerless drought. Tucker has slowed down in May, but on the season he still sports a .268/.381/.532 slash line with 11 home runs, 13 steals, 34 RBI and 37 runs in 49 contests.

Taillon (3-3) picked up the win in Tuesday's 14-1 rout of the Marlins, allowing one run on four hits and three walks over seven innings. He struck out two.

A solo shot by Nick Fortes in the third inning was the only blemish on Taillon's line, as he delivered his second straight quality start against Miami and his sixth of the season in 10 trips to the mound. Keeping the ball in the yard remains a serious concern for the right-hander, however -- he's served up nine homers in his last four starts, fueling a 4.30 ERA over that stretch despite a 1.09 WHIP and 18:5 K:BB in 23 innings. Taillon gets a soft matchup for his next outing, which lines up to come at home early next week against the Rockies.

Bednar gave up a hit in a scoreless ninth inning without recording a strikeout or a walk to pick up his fourth save of the season in a 1-0 win over the Reds on Tuesday.

After Bednar was tagged for two runs in two-thirds of an inning Monday in a non-save situation, manager Don Kelly turned right back to Bednar, and the 30-year-old right-hander responded by converting his first save chance in May. Dennis Santana worked the eighth inning and faced the bottom of the order, so even though Bednar has been the less effective pitcher of late between the two of them -- he has a 4.91 ERA, 1.23 WHIP, and 12:0 K:BB in seven innings this month versus Santana's 2.57 ERA, 0.71 WHIP and 4:0 K:BB in seven innings -- Bednar may be viewed as the better option in highest-leverage spots by his new skipper.

Falter (3-3) picked up the win in Tuesday's 1-0 victory over the Reds, scattering four hits over seven scoreless innings. He struck out five without walking a batter.

It was a dazzling performance from the southpaw, who tossed 55 of 79 pitches for strikes before handing the ball off to the Bucs' bullpen to complete the shutout. Falter has allowed just one run in four May starts and none in his last three trips to the mound, giving him a 0.38 ERA, 0.85 WHIP and 17:9 K:BB through 23.2 innings on the month. He'll look to keep rolling in his next outing, which is scheduled to come at home this weekend against the Brewers.
