Walker is not in the lineup for Friday's contest against the Diamondbacks.

Walker has now been out of the lineup each of the last four times the Cardinals have faced a right-hander. Alec Burleson is handling right field, Ivan Herrera is at designated hitter and Pedro Pages is doing the catching.

Ortiz isn't part of Milwaukee's starting lineup for Friday's game against the Pirates.

Ortiz will give way to Andruw Monasterio at shortstop for the fourth time in 11 games. Ortiz has struggled at the plate in 2025, slashing .173/.228/.237 with a pair of homers in 170 plate appearances.

Cronenworth is not in the lineup for Friday's tilt in Atlanta.

Cronenworth is an everyday player but will occasionally sit against tougher lefties, and Chris Sale -- who starts for Atlanta on Friday -- qualifies. Jose Iglesias will cover second base and bat seventh for the Padres.

The Cardinals recalled Svanson from Triple-A Memphis on Friday, Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

Svanson has pitched well during his time with the big club this season, permitting two runs with a 7:3 K:BB across 6.2 frames. He will operate in middle relief out of the St. Louis bullpen.

The Cardinals optioned Roycroft to Triple-A Memphis on Friday, Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

Roycroft has had two different stints in the majors this season and neither of them have been successful, as he's yielded a 10 runs (eight earned) with a 6:8 K:BB over 10 innings. His spot on the roster and in the bullpen will be absorbed by Matt Svanson.

White has missed his last two scheduled starts at High-A Beloit due to soreness in his left index finger but remains on a throwing program, Isaac Azout of FishOnFirst.com reports.

White, the Marlins' top pitching prospect, hasn't pitched in a game since May 9 due to lingering pain in his left index finger. Although he remains on a throwing program, there isn't a clear timetable for his return to game action. The 20-year-old lefty has posted a 3.24 ERA in 25.0 innings with Beloit this season.

McNeil is absent from the lineup for Friday's game versus the Dodgers.

The left-handed-hitting McNeil will begin the contest on the bench as the Dodgers send southpaw Clayton Kershaw to the bump. Fellow left-handed-swinger Brett Baty will cover second base for the Mets.

Acuna is not in the lineup for Friday's game versus the Dodgers.

Each of Acuna's last four starts have come against left-handed pitching, but he's not in there Friday versus southpaw Clayton Kershaw. He's now been in the lineup just twice across the Mets' last six contests. Brett Baty is handling second base and batting eighth.

The Brewers optioned Rodriguez to Triple-A Nashville on Friday.

Rodriguez will yield his spot on the active roster for Aaron Ashby (oblique), who's being activated from the 15-day injured list. The 23-year-old served as a bulk reliever for the Brewers on Thursday, allowing three runs on five hits and four walks across 3.1 innings.

The Brewers reinstated Ashby (oblique) from the 15-day injured list Friday.

Ashby is set to make his 2025 MLB debut after beginning the season on the injured list due to a right oblique strain. During his five-outing rehab stint between the rookie-level Arizona Complex League and Triple-A Nashville, Ashby made all but one of his appearances out of the bullpen and didn't cover more than two innings in any of those games, so he looks set to fill a relief role for Milwaukee after having previously made 25 starts at the big-league level from 2021 through 2024.
