Machado went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 2-1 win over Atlanta.

Machado -- who was 2-for-24 in his six games prior to Friday's contest -- put the Padres up for good in the ninth inning when he took Raisel Iglesias deep to left field for a solo home run. It was Machado's first home run since May 3 and fourth of the year. The veteran third baseman has had an inconsistent season, but he's third in the National League in doubles (15) and fourth in batting average (.309).

Nimmo was removed from Friday's game against the Dodgers due to neck stiffness, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

Nimmo collided with the outfield wall while chasing down a flyball in the second inning of Friday's contest, and he was replaced in left field during the third inning following a 98-minute rain delay. If the 32-year-old needs to miss any additional starts, Jeff McNeil would be the most likely candidate to pick up time in the outfield with Luisangel Acuna starting at second base.

Gore was removed from his start in the seventh inning Friday against the Giants with an apparent injury, Andrew Golden of The Washington Post reports.

Gore grimaced after throwing a pitch in the seventh inning of Friday's contest, causing him to leave the game early after throwing six innings of shutout ball. It's not immediately apparent what kind of injury the 26-year-old southpaw is dealing with, but the Nationals' training staff will take a closer look at him and report their findings in the near future.

Contreras was scratched from Friday's lineup against the Diamondbacks due to back spasms, Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

With Contreras removed from the Cardinals' lineup, Alec Burleson will shift over to first base, Brendan Donovan will move to left field and Nolan Gorman will start at second base. Contreras has slashed .299/.385/.493 with three home runs and 16 RBI across 78 plate appearances since the beginning of May.

Wilson (migraine) will start in left field and bat eighth Friday against the Athletics.

Wilson departed Wednesday's game early due to a migraine, but after a few recovery days, he's feeling well enough to fill in for Max Kepler against left-handed starter Jacob Lopez.

Glasnow (shoulder) threw a bullpen session Friday, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.

Friday marks the first time Glasnow has thrown off a mound since he landed on the injured list in late April. He didn't quite reach 20 pitches during his first session and will likely need a few more weeks to continue building up to a starter's workload. A clearer return timeline may emerge when he's cleared to face hitters.

Vientos was scratched from the lineup ahead of Friday's game against the Dodgers due to abdominal soreness, Andrew Tredinnick of The Bergen Record reports.

The Mets are labelling Vientos' removal from the lineup as precautionary, so while he won't play Friday, he doesn't seem to be dealing with anything serious. Brett Baty will shift over to third base while Vientos sits, and Luisangel Acuna will fill in at the keystone and bat eighth.

Ohtani (elbow) will face hitters in a bullpen session Saturday, Sonja Chen of MLB.com reports.

Ohtani also threw some breaking pitches in his lighter mid-week bullpen session Wednesday, Chen added. It's all a major step in his rehab from elbow surgery, and facing hitters this weekend might be the biggest step of them all to this point. The Dodgers don't anticipate Ohtani going out on a rehab assignment due to his role as a hitter and will instead build him up through simulated games. Ohtani's mound debut with the Dodgers remains to be determined.

Quintana (shoulder) is scheduled to make a rehab start with High-A Wisconsin on Tuesday, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Quintana threw his second bullpen session of the week Thursday, and after apparently coming out of the workout no worse for the wear, he's been cleared to embark on what will likely be a brief rehab assignment. The veteran southpaw has been on the shelf since May 14 with a left shoulder impingement, but he had been pitching well prior to suffering the injury, going 4-1 with a 2.65 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 24:11 K:BB across 34 innings over his six starts with Milwaukee.

Feltner (back) will begin his rehab assignment with Triple-A Albuquerque on Tuesday, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.

Feltner was placed on the 15-day injured list May 2 after dealing with back spasms. He's expected to make a pair of rehab starts at Triple-A before rejoining the Rockies' rotation. Feltner registered a 4.75 ERA, 1.48 WHIP and 25:12 K:BB across six starts spanning 30.1 innings before landing on the IL.
