Bauers was scratched from the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Pirates due to abdominal soreness, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Bauers has recorded at least one hit in each of his last nine games, but the Brewers will be without his services for at least Tuesday's contest. Andrew Vaughn will step in as Milwaukee's new starting first baseman and could be in line for more starts if Bauers' injury keeps him out beyond Tuesday.

Bericoto (oblique) will begin a rehab assignment at Triple-A Sacramento on Wednesday, Justice delos Santos of The San Jose Mercury News reports.

Bericoto has been on the shelf since July 10 due to a strained left oblique, but he has finally been given the green light to test his oblique in a game setting. He'll likely require a handful of tune-up games before returning from the injured list, putting him on track to return sometime in mid-August.

Lord (side) began a rehab assignment Saturday at Triple-A Rochester, striking out two batters over a perfect inning.

Lord has been on the injured list since July 9 due to left side tightness, but he'll likely need just one or two more appearances in the minors before getting the green light to rejoin the Washington bullpen. Before getting hurt, the right reliever turned in a 3.88 ERA and 1.22 WHIP over 58 innings while gathering five wins, one save and four holds.

King (oblique) has gone 4-for-11 with two doubles, one walk, four runs and two RBI in three games for Triple-A Rochester after being reinstated from the 7-day injured list Thursday.

King missed just under a month while recovering from a left oblique strain. The 23-year-old shortstop has generated a .308/.386/.505 slash line with 10 home runs and nine stolen bases across 322 plate appearances at Triple-A this season.

Eldridge isn't in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Rangers due to a bruised left thumb, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Eldridge said he suffered the bruise after getting jammed a couple of times last week, and the injury also helps to explain why he was absent from Monday's lineup. He'll be available to serve as a pinch runner Tuesday and is expected to return to the starting nine in Wednesday's series finale. In the meantime, Buddy Kennedy will serve as San Francisco's DH and bat sixth.

The Dodgers designated Robinson for assignment Tuesday.

The Dodgers acquired Hunter Feduccia and Ben Rortvedt through trades Monday to serve as replacements for Robinson and Eliezer Alfonzo on the active roster. Robinson was up with the Dodgers for just a day as a temporary depth piece due to Dalton Rushing (elbow) hitting the 10-day injured list Monday.

The Dodgers selected Rortvedt's contract from Triple-A Oklahoma City on Tuesday.

With Dalton Rushing (elbow) joining Will Smith (neck) on the injured list Monday, the Dodgers moved quickly to add catching depth to the organization. The Dodgers made trades prior to Monday's deadline to bring in Rortvedt and Hunter Feduccia, both of whom will be activated for Tuesday's game against the Cubs. Though he's spent the entire 2026 campaign to date in the minors, Rortvedt saw big-league action each of the previous four seasons, including at the tail end of 2025 with the Dodgers. Per Sonja Chen of MLB.com, manager Dave Roberts said that Rortvedt is expected to see the "lion's share" of the starts over Feduccia for the time being, with the Dodgers seemingly placing value on Rortvedt's defensive and game-calling skills. Rortvedt has been an easy out at the big-league level, batting just .190 with nine home runs in 227 career games.

The Marlins recalled Ramirez from Triple-A Jacksonville on Tuesday.

The 24-year-old is back in the majors after a two-month stint at the Triple-A level. He's filling the roster spot vacated by Liam Hicks, who was traded to the Rays on Monday. Ramirez should see occasional starts behind the plate and will also start getting some reps at first base, per Kevin Barral of FishonFirst.com. Joe Mack will continue to operate as Miami's primary catcher.

The Dodgers optioned Alfonzo to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Tuesday.

Alfonzo and Chuckie Robinson will be replaced on the Dodgers' active roster by new acquisitions Hunter Feduccia and Ben Rortvedt. Alfonzo went just 5-for-27 during his time with Los Angeles and is likely to spend the rest of the season as a depth piece at Oklahoma City.

The Phillies optioned Backhus to Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Tuesday, Todd Zolecki of MLB.com reports.

The Phillies traded for fellow lefty reliever Brooks Raley on Monday, which has pushed Backhus off the active roster. Backhus has logged a 4.95 ERA and 20:6 K:BB over 20 innings with Philadelphia this season.
