Waldschmidt (hand) will start in center field and bat ninth Sunday against the Dodgers.

The 23-year-old is back in the lineup as expected Sunday after being hit by a pitch Friday and sitting out Saturday's contest. Waldschmidt was called up from Triple-A Reno on Thursday after spending a nearly a month in the minors. In his first taste of the majors this season, Waldschmidt has a .254/.309/.351 slash line with nine doubles, a triple, five steals, eight RBI and 11 runs in 34 games.

Ritchie is slated to work in bulk relief behind opener Danny Young during Sunday's game in St. Louis, Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports.

Young is unlikely to work more than an inning or two before giving way to Ritchie, who has re-entered the Atlanta rotation following Hurston Waldrep's recent demotion to Triple-A Gwinnett. Ritchie's workload is still expected to be monitored carefully Sunday, as the young righty will be taking the hill on just two days' rest after covering 1.1 innings in a 35-pitch appearance Thursday.

Young will serve as Atlanta's opener for Sunday's game against the Cardinals, Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports.

The left-hander will be making his first MLB start but is expected to cover just an inning or two before giving way to right-hander JR Ritchie, who is slated to pitch in bulk relief. Since being reinstated July 3 following a season-opening stint on the injured list, Young has struck out three while allowing one earned run on two hits and one walk across 3.1 innings over four relief appearances.

The Giants optioned Bivens to Triple-A Sacramento on Sunday, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Bivens was called up by the Giants last weekend and appeared in two games during his week in the majors, giving up two unearned runs on three hits with a 3:1 K:BB over two innings. Jason Foley (shoulder) was reinstated from the injured list to fill out San Francisco's bullpen.

Hernandez will start in left field and bat second in Sunday's game against the Guardians.

The Marlins will keep Hernandez in the starting nine for a fifth straight game after he went 3-for-13 with a solo home run, two doubles and two walks over his previous four starts. The 26-year-old should get the chance to hold down an everyday role between the corner outfield and designated hitter while Owen Caissie (calf) is on the shelf.

Marsee is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Guardians.

Marsee will join fellow left-handed hitters Griffin Conine, Kyle Stowers and Joe Mack on the bench for the series finale while southpaw Joey Cantillo toes the rubber for Cleveland. Miami will go with a starting outfield of Heriberto Hernandez, Esteury Ruiz and Javier Sanoja from left to right Sunday.

Conine is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Guardians.

Conine will join fellow left-handed hitters Jakob Marsee, Kyle Stowers and Joe Mack on the bench for the series finale while southpaw Joey Cantillo toes the rubber for Cleveland. Miami will go with a starting outfield of Heriberto Hernandez, Esteury Ruiz and Javier Sanoja from left to right Sunday.

Stowers is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Guardians.

Stowers will join fellow left-handed hitters Jakob Marsee, Griffin Conine and Joe Mack on the bench for the series finale while southpaw Joey Cantillo toes the rubber for Cleveland. Liam Hicks will take Stowers' spot at first base and bat third.

Mack is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Guardians.

The Marlins will give Mack a breather after he started behind the plate in the first two contests of the series. Brian Navarreto will fill in at catcher and will form a battery with starting pitcher Tyler Phillips.

Polanco is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Red Sox.

Polanco will hit the bench for the Mets' final game before the All-Star break while Juan Soto gets a day off from playing the outfield as the designated hitter. Since being activated from the 60-day injured list July 7, Polanco has started at DH in four of six games, going 3-for-16 with a double, a walk, an RBI and a run. He's not expected to be available to play first base anytime soon coming off injuries to his Achilles and ankle, and unless he's able to catch fire at the plate, Polanco could find himself on the bench once Luis Robert (back) returns from the 60-day IL at some point following the All-Star break.
