Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said following the team's extra-inning loss to the Mets on Monday that Los Angeles currently has "no dedicated closer," Michael J. Duarte of NBC LA reports.

Though it wasn't a save situation, Scott struggled again Monday, giving up two runs (one earned) on two hits and a walk in the 10th inning to take the loss. Over the lefty's past seven outings, he's given up 12 runs (10 earned) across six frames while taking two losses and blowing three of four save chances. It's unclear how Roberts will manage ninth-inning opportunities moving forward, and while Scott may continue to notch save chances in certain matchups, more looks could go the way of Alex Vesia (who has the team's most recent save, which took place Friday versus the Yankees) and Kirby Yates (hamstring), who is on the IL but appears to be nearing a return. Michael Kopech (shoulder) racked up six regular-season saves with Los Angeles after joining the team in late July last year and could also be an option for ninth-inning work down the line; however, he hasn't yet pitched for the Dodgers this year and has an 8.53 ERA through eight minor-league rehab appearances, so he probably will be eased into high-leverage work after being activated off the IL.

The Pirates recalled Nicolas from Triple-A Indianapolis on Tuesday.

The right-hander will join the Pirates on Tuesday for his second stint in the majors this season. Nicolas surrendered nine earned runs over 7.2 innings during his prior run with Pittsburgh this year and has a 5.63 ERA in 14 appearances with Indianapolis.

The Pirates outrighted Solak to Triple-A Indianapolis on Tuesday.

The move frees spots on the team's 26-man and 40-man rosters for the return of Nick Gonzales (ankle) from the 60-day injured list. Solak went 1-for-11 at the dish during his brief time in the majors.

Gonzales has been shelved since late March with a fractured ankle and more recently missed time on his rehab assignment with a sore hand as a result of a hit-by-pitch. However, he's ready to go now. Gonzales played both middle-infield positions on his rehab assignment but should settle in as the Pirates' primary second baseman.

The Rockies recalled Chivilli from Triple-A Albuquerque on Tuesday.

The right-hander was optioned to Triple-A on May 26 but will rejoin Colorado on Tuesday with Zach Agnos (personal) landing on the bereavement list. Chivilli opened the campaign in the Rockies bullpen and had a 6.14 ERA, 1.60 WHIP and 21:13 K:BB across 29.1 innings prior to being demoted.

The Rockies placed Gordon on the 15-day injured list Tuesday, retroactive to May 31, due to a left oblique strain.

Gordon presumably sustained the injury during his start against the Cubs on Wednesday, when he gave up two runs on six hits with one strikeout and no walks over 4.2 innings. Regardless of the injury, the right-hander still may have lost his place in Colorado's rotation with Chase Dollander (forearm) returning from the IL to start Tuesday in Miami.

Nelson will move into the Diamondbacks' rotation following the injury to Corbin Burnes (elbow), John Gambadoro of Arizona Sports 98.7 FM reports.

Nelson has yielded just three runs over 16 innings in three starts this season, although that's come with an underwhelming 8:6 K:BB. It's not known when he will make his next start for the Diamondbacks, but his last appearance came on Saturday when he tossed four scoreless relief innings against the Nationals.

The Diamondbacks will recall Henry from Triple-A Reno prior to Tuesday's game in Atlanta, John Gambadoro of Arizona Sports 98.7 FM reports.

Henry will be utilized in long relief by Arizona. The left-hander tossed 2.2 scoreless relief innings during his lone appearance with the Diamondbacks earlier this season.

The Rockies reinstated Dollander (forearm) from the 15-day injured list to start Tuesday's game against the Marlins.

The right-hander has been sidelined the past couple weeks due to forearm inflammation, but he's rejoining Colorado's rotation Tuesday without a minor-league rehab assignment. Through his first eight MLB starts, Dollander has struggled to a 6.28 ERA, 1.42 WHIP and 38:18 K:BB across 38.2 innings.

The Diamondbacks are expected to place Burnes (elbow) on the 15-day injured list, John Gambadoro of Arizona Sports 98.7 FM reports.

There's no word yet on the specifics of Burnes' right elbow injury, as he is getting a second opinion after initial tests were inconclusive. However, he is set to miss at least the next couple weeks of action. Tommy Henry will be summoned from Triple-A Reno to take Burnes' roster spot and Ryne Nelson will slide into the rotation.
