The Mets placed Vientos on the 10-day injured list Tuesday with a right hamstring strain, Jorge Castillo of ESPN.com reports.

Vientos injured his right hamstring in the top of the 10th inning during Monday's 4-3 victory over the Dodgers. He grounded out, and he was unable to make it out of the batter's box and was seen grabbing his hamstring as he retreated to the dugout. With the 25-year-old heading to the injured list Tuesday, the Mets called up Ronny Mauricio from Triple-A Syracuse.

The Mets recalled Waddell from Triple-A Syracuse on Tuesday, Pat Ragazzo of SI.com reports.

Waddell was optioned to Triple-A on Friday but will now rejoin the big club as a replacement for Max Kranick, who was sent to Syracuse in a corresponding move. Waddell has made two appearances out of the bullpen for New York this season, allowing four runs in 9.1 innings while striking out seven batters and walking one.

Quero (hamstring) was reinstated from the 7-day injured list by Triple-A Nashville on Tuesday, Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

The 22-year-old opened the campaign on the injured list due to a hamstring injury but is ready to make his 2025 Triple-A debut after an 11-game rehab assignment in the lower minors. Quero, who is one of Milwaukee's top prospects, spent last season at the Double-A level and had a .262/.340/.443 slash line with 16 homers and five steals in 90 games.

The Giants promoted Eldridge from Double-A Richmond to Triple-A Sacramento on Tuesday, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Eldridge got a late start to the season while recovering from a wrist injury, but he earned a promotion to Sacramento after slashing .280/.350/.512 with seven home runs in 34 games at Double-A Richmond. While Eldridge is just 20 years old, he could push to debut for the Giants this season, as the club has a clear opening at first base.

Tovar (oblique) isn't expected to return to the Colorado lineup until at least Friday, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.

Tovar tweaked his left oblique in Monday's 6-4 win over the Marlins and has been ruled out through the Rockies' off day Thursday. The shortstop will continue to be treated and evaluated over the next few days before a decision is made on whether he'll require a trip to the 10-day injured list. Orlando Arcia will fill in at shortstop for the Rockies on Tuesday.

Nationals manager Dave Martinez said Tuesday that Crews (oblique) has yet to resume baseball activities, Bobby Blanco of MASNSports.com reports.

Crews has missed the last two weeks of action with a left oblique strain and appears to have made little-to-no progress. He remains in the strengthening phase of his rehab, and it's not clear when he will be ready to swing a bat or incorporate other baseball activities.

The Padres optioned Rodriguez to Triple-A El Paso on Tuesday.

The right-hander covered 1.2 scoreless frames in his MLB debut over the weekend but won't stick around with the big-league club. Rodriguez is likely to receive another look with the Padres later this season but will head back to El Paso for the time being.

The Padres recalled Bergert from Triple-A El Paso ahead of his start against the Giants on Tuesday.

The right-hander delivered four scoreless frames in four relief appearances with the Friars earlier this season, but he's been promoted Tuesday for his first big-league start. Bergert hasn't completed five frames in a start with El Paso since early April, so the 25-year-old shouldn't be expected to work very deep in his first start for San Diego.

Turner will start at designated hitter and bat eighth in Tuesday's game against the Nationals.

Kyle Tucker jammed his finger in Sunday's contest and will miss at least one game as a result. Tucker's absence will clear a spot in the lineup for Turner, who serves as the Cubs' DH while Seiya Suzuki covers Tucker's usual spot in right field. Turner has yet to get going this season with a .210/.302/.272 slash line across 96 plate appearances, though he could still see an uptick in playing time if Tucker is forced to miss additional games.

Harper (elbow) is starting at first base and batting third Tuesday against the Blue Jays, Paul Casella of MLB.com reports.

Harper hasn't seen the field since he sustained an elbow bruise on a hit-by-pitch last Tuesday versus Atlanta, but he's good to go for the series opener in Toronto. The veteran slugger was in the midst of a strong stretch at the plate prior to the elbow issue, as he has a .390/.447/.561 slash line with four doubles, a homer, two steals, 10 RBI and six runs in his past 11 games.
