Wrobleski is expected to be recalled from Triple-A Oklahoma City to start Friday against the Cardinals, Kirsten Watson of Spectrum SportsNet LA reports.

The Dodgers continue to shuffle the back end of their rotation, giving Wrobleski his first chance to start in the majors since May 15. He's had mixed results in two starts, though he completed four shutout innings with a 4:0 K:BB in his last opportunity with Los Angeles on May 15 versus the Athletics. Wrobleski has worked as a traditional starter with Oklahoma City, so he should be able to handle a relatively large workload Friday if he's efficient and effective.

Ray (8-1) earned the win Thursday over the Padres, allowing two runs on four hits and a walk over seven innings. He struck out nine.

Ray gave up a two-run homer to Manny Machado in the third inning, but he'd stop the damage there, blanking San Diego over his final four frames en route to his eighth win, tying Hunter Brown and Carlos Rodon for the MLB lead. Ray has been a revelation in San Francisco so far this year -- the southpaw has gone seven innings in three of his last four outings, lowering his ERA to 2.44 with a 1.07 WHIP and 87:31 K:BB across 13 starts (77.1 innings). Ray is currently slated to face the Rockies on the road in his next start.

Ross will start Friday's game against the Pirates, Lochlahn March of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Ross has pitched exclusively out of the bullpen this season but has gotten more than three outs in nine of his 21 appearances. He is expected to pitch around two innings and will lead off a bullpen game for the Phillies on Friday. Taijuan Walker would have been a candidate to also chip in multiple innings, but he pitched one frame in Thursday's loss to Toronto, so he may no longer be available.

Manager Mike Shildt said Thursday that Arraez is day-to-day with posterior knee soreness, AJ Cassavell of MLB.com reports.

Arraez appeared to tweak his knee while running to first base in the top of the sixth inning Thursday against the Giants, and he was replaced on defense when the Padres took the field in for the bottom of the frame. Shildt's comments suggest that the 28-year-old infielder didn't suffer any significant damage during the incident and could be back in the starting lineup within a few days. If Arraez ends up needing to miss a few games, Gavin Sheets or Jake Cronenworth would likely shift over to first base.

Helsley allowed a run on two hits and a walk to take a blown save in a 6-5 extra-inning win over the Royals in Game 1 of Thursday's doubleheader.

Helsley converted all nine of his save chances in May, allowing three runs over 11 innings with a 13:3 K:BB for the month. He struggled in his first appearance of June on Thursday after four days without taking the mound. Helsley has been far from elite this year, but he's still finding success with 13 of 16 save chances converted so far. He's added a 3.27 ERA, 1.50 WHIP and 23:12 K:BB across 22 innings. His 4.9 BB/9 is well above the 3.1 he posted last year, which largely explains his occasional struggles with run prevention in 2025.

Luzardo (5-2) took the loss against the Blue Jays on Thursday, allowing eight runs on nine hits and two walks with two strikeouts over 2.1 innings

Luzardo surrendered eight runs across the second and third innings in his shortest outing of the season. After yielding just 16 earned runs through his first 11 starts, he's now been tagged for 20 over his past two. The southpaw's velocity remained in line with his season averages, suggesting a loss of command rather than stuff at the moment. He now carries a 4.46 ERA, 1.44 WHIP and 83:34 K:BB across 72.2 innings and lines up for a difficult matchup with the Cubs next week.

Mikolas allowed three runs on eight hits and a walk while striking out two over six innings in a no-decision in Game 1 of Thursday's doubleheader versus the Royals.

Mikolas was pushed back a day after Wednesday's game was postponed due to weather. He's earned a quality start in three of his last four outings, though he didn't get any run support during his time on the mound Thursday. He also allowed a home run for the fourth time in six starts, though Mikolas has generally found success by keeping the ball down this year. The 36-year-old right-hander is now at a 3.96 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 36:17 K:BB through 61.1 innings over 12 starts this season. He's projected to make his next start during a home series versus the Blue Jays.

Atlanta is expected to designate Blewett for assignment Friday, David O'Brien of The Athletic reports.

Blewett surrendered five earned runs in just 1.1 innings during Thursday's contest, which saw Atlanta squander a six-run lead in the ninth inning en route to an 11-10 loss against Arizona. Despite his awful outing, the 29-year-old righty still owns a 3.91 ERA through 25.1 frames on the season and may attract interest from other bullpen-needy teams browsing the waiver wire. Craig Kimbrel is expected to replace Blewett on the 26-man and 40-man rosters.

Atlanta is expected to recall Dodd from Triple-A Gwinnett on Friday, David O'Brien of The Athletic reports.

Dodd was sent down to Triple-A on Sunday after pitching 1.2 scoreless innings for Atlanta across two appearances, and he's now due to return to the majors as a roster replacement for Daysbel Hernandez (finger). Dodd will presumably work in middle relief while in the majors.

Atlanta is expected to place Hernandez (finger) on the 15-day injured list Friday, David O'Brien of The Athletic reports.

Hernandez was initially believed to be alright after exiting his outing Wednesday due to numbness in his right pinky, but he'll instead end up spending at least a couple of weeks on the injured list. Dylan Dodd will come up from Triple-A Gwinnett to fill the open spot in Atlanta's bullpen.
