Cavanaugh went 3-for-3 with a walk and two RBI in Tuesday's 3-1 win over the Reds.

Cavanaugh's two-run single in the first inning was ultimately all the offense the Giants needed to get this win. The catcher has had a few encouraging games this month, logging multiple hits in four of 14 contests in August, but he also has a 4:12 BB:K in that span. For the season, he's batting .253 with a .616 OPS, no home runs, seven RBI, five runs scored, one double and one stolen base over 107 plate appearances.

Lee went 1-for-3 with a stolen base in Tuesday's 3-1 win over the Reds.

This was Lee's second steal in the last four games, giving him 10 thefts on the year. The outfielder has declined lately, going 11-for-59 (.186) over his last 15 games. For the season, he's batting. 289 with a .748 OPS, nine home runs, 47 RBI, 58 runs scored, 27 doubles and four triples over 121 contests in a starting role in the outfield.

Devers went 1-for-3 with a solo home run, a walk and a second run scored in Tuesday's 3-1 win over the Reds.

Devers has found some power lately with four homers and eight RBI over his last nine games. Six of his last eight hits have gone for extra bases. The infielder is batting .244 with an .802 OPS, 28 homers, 74 RBI, 72 runs scored, 31 doubles and one triple across 132 contests this season. If he's able to reach the 30-homer mark this year, it'll mark the fifth time in his 10-year career that he's produced at least 30 homers and doubles in a season.

Seymour allowed one run on one hit and struck out one without walking a batter over one inning to earn the save in Tuesday's 3-1 win over the Reds.

Seymour was called on for the save chance after Dylan Smith logged 25 pitches Monday. The Giants have seen starters go down with injuries in consecutive games, as well as losing reliever JT Brubaker (ribs) to the injured list Monday, so it's been hard times for the team's healthy relievers. Seymour has a 5.19 ERA and 14:7 K:BB across 17.1 innings this season while also collecting two holds. He's done most of his work as a multi-inning option -- he's been able to get more than three outs in seven of his 10 appearances so far, which makes it unlikely that he'll be a consistent presence in the late innings.

Happ went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run in Tuesday's 5-4 loss to the Diamondbacks.

Happ broke open the scoring when he took Brandon Pfaadt deep in the fourth inning. That was Happ's third homer in his last five games. He's hit safely in seven of his last nine games, going 10-for-32 (.313) in that span. For the season, the veteran outfielder is batting .220 with a .754 OPS, 23 homers, 61 RBI, 77 runs scored, 24 doubles, two triples and four stolen bases over 129 contests.

Webb (6-4) allowed two runs on one hit and one walk without recording a strikeout in one inning, taking the loss and a blown save in Tuesday's 5-4 loss to the Diamondbacks.

Webb served up a walk-off two-run home run to pinch hitter Ryan Waldschmidt in the ninth inning after having to mop up a mess by Daniel Palencia in the eighth. Webb has a blown save and a loss in each of his last two outings, allowing five runs over 1.2 innings in that span. Palencia's poor outing Tuesday could buy Webb some time to work out of his struggles, but the late innings are looking far shakier for the Cubs now than just a week ago with their top relievers beginning to struggle. Webb has maintained a 2.91 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 64:21 K:BB with nine saves and eight holds, as well as six blown saves, over 58.2 innings this season.

Lawlar cleared concussion protocol following his removal from Tuesday's game against the Cubs, Alex Weiner of ArizonaSports.com reports.

Lawlar came out of the game after getting hit in the head by a pitch, but manager Torey Lovullo said that the 24-year-old is expected to be fine and will likely be in the lineup for Wednesday's series finale. Lawlar went 0-for-2 with a strikeout before his exit but still owns a .271/.348/.407 slash line through 67 plate appearances in the big leagues this year.

Holmes allowed two hits and two walks while striking out five over seven scoreless innings in a no-decision versus the Diamondbacks on Tuesday.

Holmes was far better than opposing starter Brandon Pfaadt, but the Cubs' late-inning duo of Daniel Palencia and Jacob Webb gave away the lead. Over four starts with the Cubs, Holmes has allowed just five runs across 23 innings, adding a 10:7 K:BB in that span. He's now at a 2.26 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 55:25 K:BB through 13 starts between the Cubs and the Mets. Holmes is lined up to make his next start at home versus the Brewers.

Waldschmidt went 1-for-1 with a two-run home run in Tuesday's 5-4 win over the Cubs.

Waldschmidt went deep as a pinch hitter in the ninth inning, taking a Jacob Webb slider out to left field for the walk-off blast. Waldschmidt has gone 16-for-62 (.258) in August, adding two homers, two doubles and eight RBI over 21 contests. He was given a rest day Tuesday, but he could take over as a starting option in center field if Jordan Lawlar (head) is forced to miss time after getting hit by a pitch. On the year, Waldschmidt is batting .276 with a .739 OPS, three homers, 21 RBI, 27 runs scored, 15 doubles, one triple and seven stolen bases through 66 contests.

Pfaadt allowed four runs on six hits, two walks and a hit batsman while striking out three over 6.2 innings in a no-decision versus the Cubs on Tuesday.

Pfaadt was able to provide some length in this start, but he was tagged for a three-run home run by Ian Happ in the fourth inning. With nine runs allowed, including four homers, over his last two starts, Pfaadt's improvements in July and early August look to be fading. He's still at a strong 3.51 ERA with a 1.14 WHIP and 72:26 K:BB through 105 innings over 24 games (14 starts) this year. Pfaadt is lined up to make his next start at home versus the Phillies.
